Denuvo unveils new technology "TraceMark" aimed to watermark and easily trace leaked games

Chasing a moving target. It's cute of them to pretend crackers/leakers won't find their way around this eventually. It doesn't matter what you do!

Microsoft hacked by Russian group, gaining access to source code repositories

Ahh the good old days... When encountering a hacker was a rare and sometimes entertaining experience (up until they were promptly taken care of) and using mods/scripts! I'm afraid the incentive to cheat is too high these days with all of the money involved. Such a shame.

Microsoft hacked by Russian group, gaining access to source code repositories

This. Anti-cheat is essentially useless anyway. Even the more invasive ones are easily bypassed. Imagine if any of these battle pass/loot box/closet case gambling games put even just a few of their seedy earned dollars toward a team of moderators or GMs that could respond live to reports of...

Microsoft hacked by Russian group, gaining access to source code repositories

This is really awful... But maybe in some twisted way it will lead to more Linux conversions/anti cheat support. The only thing I have a Doze installation for these days are the games that don't play nicely with GNU/Linux.

Bethesda's new Fallout Anthology packs seven games inside a mini nuke

Don't be fooled. Remember the canvas bag! And also already having all/most of these. What a crap release.

Romhacks and fan translations website CDRomance takes all downloads off-site after a DMCA threat

One day, if everything goes according to plan, there will be no physical media left or any sort of downloads available anywhere but outside of the IP holder's limited walled garden shops. I look forward to all the media that will be lost to greed. These companies have already proven they cannot...

Valve DMCA's both "Portal 64" and "Team Fortress 2: Source 2" projects

What does Nintendo's proprietary libraries have to do with Valve and why did Valve (not Nintendo) have a problem with that? I am 12, please explain

Rumor A Nintendo Switch flashcart is being teased, and it could support all models

Show me a version with buttons, not absurdly priced, won't get you banned and actually real and I'll show you someone who's impressed. Of course if this thing worked ideally and was easy to get it would be a most amazing device but I doubt either of those would be true even if this thing did...

Rumor A Nintendo Switch flashcart is being teased, and it could support all models

Inserts it twice and it's Super Mario Wonder... Later every time he inserts it the game changes... I detect a clever fake. Even if it's not, it's a very inconvenient device to use, probably won't be cheap, and way less convenient than CFW

Atmosphere 1.6.2 Crashes When Connecting to Wifi

SOLVED: Serial blanking was causing the crash since FW 17. Disabled in exosphere and now use DNS MITM to keep away prying eyes. Greetings! I've recently updated to Firmware 17.0.0 and Atmosphere 1.6.2 and since then if I'm not in airplane mode HOS Crashes with: Error Code 2123-0011 Program...

Terraria devs donate over $200,000 to open-source game engines following Unity controversy

Completely predictable on Unity's part and an unexpected move from an old forgotten friend, Re-logic. I also want to "dig in" to Terraria again. Okay, I'll leave now.

Denuvo's DRM technology for Nintendo Switch is now available in the Nintendo Developer Portal

What an absolute waste of time. This won't stop anyone. Crazy idea, maybe focus on making games people will want to buy. Those looking to pirate will still pirate and the exact same goes for those wanting to buy it. Maybe they'll have to wait a few days but no one who pirates says "aw shucks...
