ROM Hack How to unlock all pit stop/grand prix characters and skins in Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled

Note: Guide has been updated for game update v1.0.15 Explanation It's quite BS how Activision decided to lock some characters and skins behind the internet, making you have to play online to unlock them. Well there's a way to unlock them through cfw via cheats. In fact, this is the only way...

    Hacking Question AutoRCM Confusion

Edit: I have RCM figured out now. Any time you power off the system in any way while you have, you will be in RCM. The trick to powering off the switch is to go to power options > Restart > You'll be in RCM > Hold power for 10 secs to turn it off from RCM Alternatively if you chose "power off"...

Tutorial Moving installed titles from RedNAND to SysNAND

This isn't anything new, just a reminder that it's fairly simple to actually migrate to SysNAND from RedNAND. Many poor souls still trapped in RedNAND setups, killing their SD card's life cycle. These old users were told that RedNAND was the wae, and that they had to go out and buy a 64 GB SD...

Tutorial How to play Gamecube, PS1, & N64 games from the wiiu gamepad

For a while now it's been possible to play Gamecube games directly with the Wii U gamepad as a controller. Not only this, you can also play PS1 and N64 games from the gamepad as well! This essentially makes it into a portable experience, well if you're close enough to the console that is. For...

Tutorial Prevent updates by removing the system's update folder

This method isn't particuarly new or discovered by me, it's just my own take on a guide that simplifies this process as much as possible. it's now easier than ever to remove the system's update folder thanks to rikumax's script. It's basically free from user error and you don't have to learn how...

Tutorial Customize Homebrew Launcher with your own music and sound effects

It's been possible for the longest time to customize Homebrew Launcher with your very own music and sound effects, just nobody seems to realize it! This isn't anything groundbreaking but it's a nice touch if you ever get tired of the default music and want to use your own song. Who wouldn't want...

Tutorial How to fix download issues from Eshop while using NNU Patcher

It's becoming a big problem lately with 5.5.1 users who want to buy Brain Age for use with Haxchi, but are stuck at "0% pending" in Download Management. Based on the feedback of users, the culprit of this was that the failed system update that's shown in Download Management prevents any further...

Hacking Looking for the latest compiled open-source Homebrew Channel

I used to have the wad to the latest compiled Homebrew Channel which had native 16:9 support without the need for a Forwarder, but I lost the file entirely. I don't have the means to compile from source codes, I'd appreciate if someone can compile or share the wad file. It was pretty rare since...

Tutorial Importing Wii U saves with Savemii

Savemii is definitely a staple in Wii U hacks, as it makes it so much easier to backup and import saves compared to saviine. But it's not widely known how to use it and how to structure the folders to import old saves. Typically, saves backed up using saviine are slightly different from savemii...

Hacking [Poll] Does NNU Patcher work for you?

I created this poll because I sometimes hear from certain users that NNU Patcher didn't work for them. I want to integrate NNU Patcher into one of my steps in my guide and I need to know how often it actually works for users. For my it certainly works. One reason why it may not work for some is...

Hacking [Discussion] Wii U freezing in-game

Lately I've been having an issue with my Wii U and I'm trying to figure out what causes it, if it's a hardware problem or not. It's a known problem from as far back as 2012, where the system will hard lock with a loud buzzing noise where you have to get up and hold the power button to shut it...

Hacking PSA: NNUPatcher works again, allows to download game updates while blocking system updates

I'm throwing this out there as some people don't know about it. Normally we use a DNS to block system updates, and this blocks Eshop and game updates. You can keep on using your DNS while also allowing game updates by using NNUPatcher. This is useful for that one moment where you don't have a...

Hacking Is it possible to use saviine on Linux?

I'd really love to be able to use saviine from my linux computer without having to turn on my windows desktp and wait for it to load each time I need to inject or dump a save. I just want to know if anyone has ever gotten saviine to work in linux through any methods. I tried running wine cmd in...

Hacking HBL Rpx loading? What is it and how do we make use of it?

I'm really curious what this whole rpx thing is about with the new Homebrew Launcher 1.4 update, I feel a bit left in the dark about it. Is it something only for devs to understand? I didn't see anyone else asking so I decided to make a topic about it, in case any others were wondering the same.

Hacking Browser update nag in 5.5.1, similar to 3DS?

Me and my friend were speculating whether or not the 5.5.1 firmware has the ability to force you to update in order to use the browser, similar to the 3DS. Since there hasn't been a new update after 5.5.1, we don't know if that feature secretly resides in 5.5.1's browser. The 5.5.1 Wiiu update...

Hacking [Save] Super Smash Bros WiiU [All characters unlocked, fresh save]

I created a fresh save where all characters are unlocked without doing anything else other than getting 100 vs matches. This is good for those who want a fresh save, but don't want to unlock all the characters the tedious way. Anyone can use this save, and works with the Disc game, and digital...

Hacking Can I unplug my wii U while it's creating RedNAND?

I'm not asking for a direct answer as I'm not sure if anyone has ever done this, BUT What happens if you cancel the rednand dumping process by shutting off the system? Will it result in a brick? I decided I don't want it right now, it's gonna take over 9 hours to dump and I'm more interested...

I like electronics that use detachable cables, that way if the cable breaks you can just swap in a new one instead of replacing the whole unit

  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
