    Hacking Wii/Channel Reverse Engineering Results

Hmm not sure why it isn't working then, I was able to use DD-WRT a while back to dump network traffic from Mario Kart Wii using that method.

    Hacking Wii/Channel Reverse Engineering Results

I tried packet capturing before, you need to have your router modded I believe. Some methods are over here (I ended up using the router method with an old router I had): http://save-nintendo-wifi.com/cfw-router.html http://save-nintendo-wifi.com/android.html Edit: Nevermind - see my post below...

    Hacking Wii/Channel Reverse Engineering Results

Hey Guys! We have a WC24 server up with dumps already - just switch your DNS to 168.235.71.66 and you should be good to go. Regarding the Weather/Forecast Channel, unfortunately it is using some sort of encryption that we don't have the key for, so we haven't been able to get that working yet...

    Hacking Wii/Channel Reverse Engineering Results

We were referring to dumps of the data transferred from Nintendo's network to Wiis. JoostinOnline said they should all work, however I was unable to get the Weather/News Channels to work. I'm assuming the Everybody Votes Channel will though. I will update the instructions above to add vWii...

    Hacking Wii/Channel Reverse Engineering Results

Awesome! I'm not sure if this would work however because of the second reason I posted before, but I've messaged JoostinOnline to ask if that would work. Waiting for a response from him.

    Hacking Wii/Channel Reverse Engineering Results

I cleaned up the thread a bit a few days ago so the instructions should be easier. Even if you could install it via the WAD file, it wouldn't work because the Wii U doesn't have WiiConnect24 support, so the channel would just error out when it launches. Also, the Wii stores it in a special...

    Hacking Wii/Channel Reverse Engineering Results

I've made a few edits above with information after some more testing and cleaned up the thread. You can get the news.bin.00 file from here: http://awesomemariofan.com/internal/WiiConnect24-Archives.zip, once downloaded there should be a News folder, and inside that a Version 2 folder. Also...

    Hacking Wii Backup Discs Question

Thanks! I actually use Dios Mios mostly now anyway, was just wondering about the discs. I think my drive can only burn at a minimum of 2x.

    Hacking Wii Backup Discs Question

Hello, I don't normally post much around here, but I had a question. I had asked this before but decided to retype it since that was a few months back. I bought a few mini DVD-r discs to burn backups of GameCube games I had ripped with CleanRip, and for some reason my Wii randomly won't read...

Hacking Save Nintendo WiFi - A project to save online servers for Wii (and DS) games

Unfortunately no, I'll try to explain as best as I can. On Nintendo's side as far as I know, they have scripts that generate numbers, etc. for connecting and stuff. When the Wii sends these out, it usually uses arguments (ex. get.nintendo.com/get.php[args-here]). When navigating to this URL in...

Hacking Any reason to NOT update from 3.2 to 4.1?

Honestly, the only thing I see different is the available exploits, it's actually easier to hack 4.3U than earlier versions. You also have to make sure you don't install any incompatible system menu themes. In my opinion, at that point I would probably do a fresh reset anyway since system menus...

Hacking Error Code 202011 when trying to download Dr.Mario Friend Demo From Wii Shop Channel

If you already had the channel on your Wii, you need to uninstall it using either WAD Manager or AnyTitleDeleter, not the normal Wii channel remover from the menu.

Hacking Second hand wii NOISE in speakers after bootup

The sound/lag problems could indicate a hardware problem. Did you try unplugging it from the wall for a few seconds, plugging it back in and removing WODE then trying again? Also, do you have a Wii menu full of channels? Due to the Wii's poor RAM this can cause lag. For the sound, try checking...
