    Hacking TempGBA: NDSGBA revival

If that's the same version I think it is, TempGBA4PSP, it's 10000+ lines of code worth of differences, all unidentified, none of which in isolation helps to fix any single problem, and it adds MIPS32R2 instruction optimisations (PSP-only) and PSP Media Engine code, which, if ported back, would...

    Hacking TempGBA: NDSGBA revival

You completely misunderstood me. With the announcement of 3DS hacks, I saw, both today, one post in this thread by you (Canadacdn), and received a private message by an unnamed person, both asking if this emulator could be "ported" to the 3DS native no-flashcart exploit thinger that's making...

    Hacking TempGBA: NDSGBA revival

This is a MIPS emulator, with a MIPS just-in-time compiler. Unless the 3DS has a MIPS processor in it, this will not work. Port something else. I've received a private message about this as well. Please don't contact me again regarding TempGBA on 3DS without a flashcart, as this is squarely...

Firmware GCW Zero 5/5/14 Firmware Update Released

OpenGL ES is there, and so is Java, yes, but the JamVM which was added to the GCW Zero firmware has only a Java bytecode interpreter, not a JIT compiler. Interpreters take on average 25 machine instructions to execute 1 bytecode instruction. So JamVM on the GCW Zero executes Java bytecode as...

Firmware GCW Zero 5/5/14 Firmware Update Released

Not to mention all the other special chip games, like Star Fox, Kirby Super Star and Super Mario RPG. They also get very large boosts in performance. That was one of my favourite parts of the update, because I really like Yoshi's Island (except Baby Mario's crying, ugh!) and I really like...

    Hacking Any information on TempGBA4PSP

VBA is already nearly perfect. I don't think I'd do much that isn't already done.

    Hacking Any information on TempGBA4PSP

I'd say use the forks :) Forks are the best thing about open source, but only if they're maintained well and contribute to either each other or a common upstream once in a while. Exophase didn't like the lack of contributions to his repository from others. That's a given, really, for open source...

    Hacking NDSSFC/CATSFC revival

That is true. I had to make the emulator skip 3 frames at a time, otherwise it would crackle the audio output or refuse to handle button presses for up to 5 seconds every so often. Those are Supercard SDK bugs.

    Hacking Any information on TempGBA4PSP

TecXero in #8 You are right about it being Exophase's code at first. It was improved upon by 2 people in succession, which were Takka (for game fixes) and myself (for optimisations that attempt not to break games, but fix very few). Optimisations mean that less frameskip is needed in auto...

Does usps charge more to ship lithium?

Sometimes you have to have a really bad pun so the good ones can shine more. This is one of those times.

Does usps charge more to ship lithium?

There are restrictions on mailing lithium from the USA using the USPS. The restrictions were revised on 2012-11-15, to allow some batteries with some lithium content to be mailed inside devices they are meant to operate. But you are not allowed to send lithium on its own. Lithium, being an...

    Ryukouki Discusses! Digital Rights Management

I agree with a server-based game if the server is absolutely necessary, for example in MMOs. There, the server must coordinate activities, and it is the central way to acquire stats about cheating, trades and so on. But I don't agree with it if the server is just grafted onto the game in order...

    Ryukouki Discusses! Digital Rights Management

In the piece I see that the two viewpoints regarding DRM are diametrically opposed. On one side, you have the developer, who screams "It's my content, I can do whatever I want with it! You can't tell me not to put DRM, the dirty pirates* are going to bankrupt my company!" On the other side...

What is this red stubble thing on my hand?

Red stubble on hand is cause by tomato color infiltrate, not blood. So Densetsu was cutting tomato. Is normal if goes away in two week. Now if goes yellow like a Pikachu or not go away in two week, you start drink vodka. It help with pain. Then you go to doctor. Suggest read this post with...

    Hacking TempGBA4PSP

I didn't see any disrespect coming from you; it's just that in a sea of different versions, with someone doing optimisations and another doing fixes, the maintainer has to sort out a lot of stuff to make a version with both fixes and optimisations - and the language barrier does not help. I...

    Hacking TempGBA4PSP

So the Japanese person may have taken my version, but then attempted to improved some games, which happened to be at the expense of Metroid Zero Mission and Mother 3. My version doesn't crackle or pop in either, but that's for the DSTwo and GCW Zero. For the record, what happened with...

    Hacking TempGBA4PSP

Thanks. After looking a bit at the core code, it appears that the Japanese person indeed added some things to it which would affect (hopefully by improving) game compatibility. He or she even added more optimisations on top, some of which I made independently in the GCW Zero version.
