I used SafeSysUpdater to check the hashes on all the cias, (in addition to checking the hash on the zip file manually), then sysUpdater for the update.     Yep, even with no SD card it booted directly to "An error has occurred" black screen every time. Really didn't want to reformat as I wanted to keep all my mii plaza etc. data which doesn't all work with svdt. Honestly decided I'd rather be on 10.5 and keep my stuff than reformat and get on CFW...

    I have an issue with my supercard where it will only work if I have the card inserted when turning on my 3DS, and launch the card as soon as the OS will let me, by repeatedly hitting A while the 3DS starts up. Have you tried that?

    I hoped that reinstalling the firmware would fix something, and thought maybe there was a bug in 1.19 because it just came out. I did some of this debugging while I was still trying to figure out what the problem was and wasn't sure why I could sometimes get it to work and other times not.

    Hacking DSTWO Stopped Working!

    I tried every variation of the paper trick I could find. I disassembled the cart and tried reseating the PCB in the case, with and without paper to press the contacts up. Nothing worked. I wound up sending the card back to the store I got it from for replacement, but thanks for the ideas, folks.
