Tutorial How to install WAD Files directly to your SD card without an emunand

I play Wiiware occasionally. Its accessibility is probably only a factor for very few people like me, who boot directly into the USB loader and hence have no reason to go to the system menu.

Tutorial How to install WAD Files directly to your SD card without an emunand

Thank you very much for clarifying what to do. The OP should at least be amended by your guide. Still, I did not get it to work. I tried 2 games: Moto Heroz, Swords vs Soldiers. These did not work. Moto Heroz worked at first, but only because I had it installed on my real nand. After I had...

Tutorial USB Loader GX: How to fix Okami title problem with "Titles from GameTDB On"

Nope, that did nothing. EDIT: It did work eventually. For some reason, my wiitdb.xml was automatically reverted back to "Ōkami", so I had to change it again, disable title cache and now it works. Thank you. I could even re-enable title caching after that. You may want to add this to your main...

Tutorial USB Loader GX: How to fix Okami title problem with "Titles from GameTDB On"

Nice Idea, but this does not work for me. The relevant wiitdb.xml is about 20-ish MB in size, right? I replaced every instance of Ōkami with Okami, but the game still appears as kami at the end of the list. Do I have to update the listing or something in USBLoaderGX? As a side note, the...

Tutorial How to install WAD Files directly to your SD card without an emunand

I really appreciate your effort writing a tutorial. Unfortunatley, this tutorial seems quite lacking. Mostly, half of the things to do seem to be missing. E.g., section 2 does not even mention where I should do these things. I tried those steps in riiconnect, but there was never a step about the...

Gaming Modded Wii wont read original Gamecube disc

Reading through the (short) changelog of the last 2 homebrew channel updates, I assume I can do without updating it. All my homebrew runs perfectly fine with my current system. I could update / replace the CIOSs as you mentioned. I have the WAD packs from the Softmodding guide I used earlier...

Gaming Modded Wii wont read original Gamecube disc

I said this in my first post on this topic. Sorry I did not make that more clear. I'm afraid... I'm afraid I can't do that. I ran SysCheck again. See attached file.

Gaming Modded Wii wont read original Gamecube disc

I thought that my Wii being NTSC might be the cause, but since some games work and some don't, I doubt that this is the reason. I would rather suspect it to be the culprit if only the working games offered the 60Hz mode. E.g., Mariokart has a 60Hz mode. I followed the "softmod any wii" guide on...

Gaming Modded Wii wont read original Gamecube disc

Nice guess. =) Too bad it was not the root of the problem :-( Those problematic GC games still won't launch from the System Menu Disc Channel. I installed the RVL-MIOSv10.wad using WAD manager, which I had extracted from Epic Mickey 2 using WiiXplorer as Cyan suggested here...

Gaming Modded Wii wont read original Gamecube disc

My Wii is connected via component cables (not composite). The video settings are 480p and 16:9. Keep in mind that I region changed my Wii from PAL to NTSC. So no 50Hz option here. My System Menu is 4.1, but as I read before the only thing Nintendo changed in the last few revisions was...

Gaming Modded Wii wont read original Gamecube disc

I mean the original Wii Disc Channel for Wii/Gamecube Games. I guess using the Nintendont forwarder Channel would yield the same results as launching the games from USB-Loader GX using Nintendont.

Gaming Modded Wii wont read original Gamecube disc

So I tested all of my original PAL GC game discs (not from HDD/SD) on my NTSC Wii. Games tested and working with USB-Loader GX + Nintendont (all work): Beach Spikers Mario Party 4 Mariokart Double Dash Super Smash Bros. Melee Donkey Konga 1 F-Zero GX Metroid Prime Lost Kingdoms 2 Eternal...

Gaming Modded Wii wont read original Gamecube disc

Thank you for your time. Just to make sure: ATM my only issue is that I do not know what caused some of my PAL games to not run. I could not reproduce the error. I just updated. But ATM I can not note any difference. I read somewhere about incompatibility and I confirmed it myself with my...

Gaming Modded Wii wont read original Gamecube disc

I have a handful of games (e.g. Moto Heroz) which only work using waninkoko's CIOS 38 rev 17 in slot 249. Those games will refuse to run from an SD card >2GB. Also, this goes for some Homebrew games. I actually tried this before to no avail. Plus, my friend's Wii had a freshly installed...

Gaming Modded Wii wont read original Gamecube disc

Thank you for your help. I might try running the games from SD later, but since SD cards >2GB bear more severe compatibility issues, that is not a long term solution for me. I updated Nintendont in April, when I had this issue for over one year. No improvement. Of course =) I know. I am just...

Gaming Modded Wii wont read original Gamecube disc

I had the same issue: some of my PAL Gamecube games did not work on my Wii (region changed from PAL to NTSC). What is weird about my case: they stopped working for seemingly random reasons. E.g., I got an NTSC copy of Super Smash Bros. Melee (SSBM), because my PAL version did was not working...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

So Lone_Wolf implied that you can boot into twilight menu. How can I do that on a 3DS? There is no .firm file in Twilight Menu's package. Also, having to touch the screen when starting Twilight Menu is quite annoying. Is there a way to disable that?

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

ATM my 3DS can only boot into normal system menu and Godmode. I do have a BOOT.firm in the SD and nand root, but that simply leads into booting the system menu. It probably is the system menu .firm file. My Twilight Menu did not come with a .firm file.
