    I can't load safea9lhinstaller because the homebrew menu is not reachable anymore. As for the guide @UniqueGeek posted, I do have fire emblem awekening which would update me to 4.5.0, can I just follow the guide then? Just making sure so I don't screw up again..

    Have you tried turning download play, soft reset, bypass AP and cheats off? Start -> options (while "pointing" at that game) and change those options (Soft reset etc.) to disabled. Hope that works.

    Are you running the game in "patch" mode? X (while having the game highlighted) -> You'll then see Mode -> Press the right arrow to turn it from Clean to Patch Hope that works! :3
