Tutorial How to boot Linux on your Switch

By the way, the shofel2 repo have been updated. You no longer have to hard reset the usb loader repo for it to work.

That's probably just an SD card that will not work for this. I have a 64GB AData card I use for Horizon that will not work at all for switch-linux.

Tutorial How to boot Linux on your Switch

I don't suppose you'd be able to make a .deb/.rpm of this? Or maybe a quick explanation on how to build this on other distros since I don't really want to use Arch so don't have access to PKGBUILD. If not I can try to fight my way through doing it myself later.

Oh, my bad. I haven't tried actually doing anything useful with this yet so I can't help there, sorry.

Tutorial How to boot Linux on your Switch

I think rebooting Linux fixes this for most people. It has to be a reboot from within Linux though. It shouldn't go back to RCM.

If you are using Debian I believe you need to have the 'firmware-misc-nonfree' package installed. It may also need to be the one from the Sid apt repos rather than from stable. (Going by an IRC discussion here, not actual experience)

Tutorial How to boot Linux on your Switch

I don't know what error you're getting exactly, nor what it means from just that description. Do you have a more complete version of the error message? Just for reference here is what I did to partition my SD card and put the rootfs on it: Start fdisk to partition the SD card: fdisk...

Tutorial How to boot Linux on your Switch

This very same SD card I'm using for this does NOT work in an adapter for WiiU homebrew, so yeah. sometimes they just don't work for some reason. If three different cards don't work then yeah, I'd expect it to be something going wrong with the setup rather than a card just not working. You...

Tutorial How to boot Linux on your Switch

Up to 2GB is usually SD, 2GB-32GB SDHC (I used a 32GB card and everything works for me and I consistently can get the arch login prompt), and 64GB+ is currently SDXC. But yeah, try a different SD card. Sometimes an SD card will work fine for most usages, but will not work for some weird reason...

Homebrew possible ARM11 kernel hack on 10.5

And sysupdater-10-4 uses svchax, which means it supports what svchax does (even if the test app was failing for some reason on systems it should have worked for) It won't work on o3DS 10.3 because svchax doesn't support o3DS 10.2 NATIVE_FIRM

Only on n3DS. Look at the first post in this thread and you can see that fairly clearly shows that.

Main repo which works for O3DS fine: https://github.com/angelsl/3ds-sysUpdater My fork which has N3DS (just updated the svchax submodule once N3DS started working) https://github.com/flagrama/3ds-sysUpdater I made a pull request to the main repo, should be merged eventually.

@aliaspider Sorry they aren't using your test app. The sysUpdater they are using uses your latest commit though.

Hacking Downgrade from 10.5/10.6 is now possible on O3DS. (Not Hardware Mod)

reddit post now includes a version of sysUpdater that apparently works for N3DS as well. Good luck.
