    Edit: I had the same problem, I did two things that may have fixed the issue. First I opened the bios (.nes file) and it created a save file next to it. Then I searched and re downloaded the .fds games from different sites until I found one that seems to have the proper roms.

    I got the error but it was because my update.nds was not in the root folder of the MicroSD, move it to the root folder and it works.
