Hacking Is it finally time to jump the ship?

Simpler than a PSP, as it doesn't even involve a computer. Go to henkaku.xyz on your Vita's browser, click the install button and you're ready to go. As to how it works; you have to do it every boot (or use HENkaku offline installer and hijack the Mail app with it).

Hacking My Vita is still on 3.20... is this good or bad?

You know, part 1 was already reverse engineered and xyz posted the inner workings of the offline installer afterwards...

Hacking How close we are to play psp and psx?

Of course. He works part-time at Atlus and part-time at Falcom, and got a devkit of both Odin Sphere Leifdrasir and Tokyo Xanadu. Oh, and risked both jobs for 5 minutes of fame. /s

Hacking Updating to a specific FW WITHOUT USB cable

Eeeeeh. What's the point in updating it to 3.60 and using HENkaku if you won't be able to charge it anyway?

Hacking Should The Henkaku Source Code be released ?

I don't see jimmyleen ever mentioning the source code for the tool that decrypts eboots. The Chinese guy mentioned he would release the tool, exactly like yifanlu did. Anyway, enough derailing for this thread. We've seen worse happen in that other thread, right? Just try to at least read what...

Hacking Should The Henkaku Source Code be released ?

yifanlu DID release HENkaku, though. @Topic: It's up to yifanlu; one does whatever he wants with his code as long as it doesn't harm other parties.

Hacking Apparently, somebody Decrypted a PKG

Basically, this lets us dump the game files in order for them to be readable; this doesn't mean it's runnable. Maybe, if we can make the Vita expect decrypted data, playing those dumps would be possible... but we probably need a CFW for that.

Hacking Apparently, somebody Decrypted a PKG

Still up in the air, but people seem to be inclined to the devkit side. We have yet to find any evidence for this to be a devkit dump, and I tend to give the benefit of doubt to people, so... yeah.

Hacking Apparently, somebody Decrypted a PKG

Actually, I don't think this is a dev build, and, to me, it seems more like a legit rip than it ever has now. I mean, I'm pretty sure that disabling Wi-Fi when the game starts is an instruction in the EBOOT's header. What if he, for some reason, lost this data when stripping DRM? It could be...

Hacking Managed to replace a savegame from a different region/memory card

ux0:addcont/<GameID>/<DLCID> Edit: You probably need the full content of ux0:addcont/<GameID> though. ux0:addcont/<GameID>/sce_pfs/files.db seems to have info about the installed DLC.

Hacking Managed to replace a savegame from a different region/memory card

If you can just transfer DLCs, you can probably pirate those as well. I think they're DRM-protected, though.

Hacking App for enable/disabling wifi fast

Tried closing the VitaShell bubble and starting it up again?

Hacking What wifi data transfer speeds are you getting in filezilla

Around 2mbps on my end. Using a pretty shitty router (Cisco DPC3825), but really close to it. Vita 1000 btw. Will test on my PSTV once I get a memory card for it (not swapping my Vita's memcard, thanks).

Hacking Apparently, somebody Decrypted a PKG

Has anyone really tested MolecularShell with other files over 2GB? It has two .vpk files. One of them will install properly, but does not contain the full game data (the Chinese original poster claims it to be the filesize's fault), and the second one is supposed to be just extracted to the...

Hacking Apparently, somebody Decrypted a PKG

It's not. Running it on my Vita right now. The only weird thing is that it has to be extracted to the folder instead of installed using MolecularShell, probably because MS gives you an error on large files.

Hacking [HENKaku Homebrew] The Listing of all VPKs

Shouldn't the Tokyo Xanadu vpk (called xanadu.vpk.rar and xanadu0.vpk.rar) be added here, just like the Adventure Time one?
