Hardware *sigh* I guess my DS4 is dead?

You have to get a rechargeable battery pack, they don't make non-rechargable ones afaik. And it would be pretty dumb if they did, you'd have to open the controller up and replace it every time it dies. As for your second question, there's maybe some 3rd party controller that does, I don't know...

Tutorial How to properly build an ISO of Project M [Inc. Wi-Fi Instructions]

Huh, that's weird. You extracted all the files? Does that dll file its looking for actually exist? Technically you should be able to choose continue then just manually enter (or copy-paste) the path to the pf folder into the box, but I'm curious why it's not loading the dll, it looks like its...

Hacking Bricked my Wii (it boots to black screen)

You can also use modmii to download/generate the files required for bootmii as boot2. Launch it (ModMii, not ModMiiSkin), type C and hit enter, then BM, then choose your video mode, then O, then Y, then Y again. Once it downloads everything just copy the bootmii folder to your sd card (if modmii...

Hacking Recoding an exploit for Wii

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/FE100 EDIT: While that download is up to date, the instructions aren't, see here: http://wiicrazy.tepetaklak.com/2009/06/fe100-022-with-updated-keygrabber/ EDIT #2: Actually there is a newer version here: http://www.wiidewii.com/read.php?29,15141 with a key grabber that...

Hacking NOOB PARADISE - ask away

If you have bootmii as boot2 I think you should be able to use WiiGator's cBoot2 to install WADs. Download this: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3hzcoqiec7o0gww/cBoot2+++Wad+Manager.zip and extract it to the root of your sd card. Note that that archive has WAD Manager 1.5 as the boot.dol file...

Hacking Using a USB Encoder to support Homebrew Channel and Emulators

You aren't going to be able to control the wii from the USB port unless the homebrew is built to support USB controllers (other than stuff like nintendon't there isn't much homebrew that does, and even then I don't know how well they would work with that specific board). Why are you using a wii...

Hacking can someone please post the boot.elf file for homebrew channel

great necro-bump :glare:. That would have been an ancient homebrew channel version anyway. What is wrong with the official download: https://bootmii.org/download/

Hacking NOOB PARADISE - ask away

The no exploits found would have come up because he uninstalled all his IOSs, so the Hackmii installer had nothing to use as an exploit. As for a solution @addas, do you have bootmii installed as boot2? Also, how are you running letterbomb? System menu 4.3 runs on IOS 80, which you claim you...

wit is the tool you want. Dolphin (the emulator) can also extract files if you open the game's properties, but Dolphin has no way to build it back into an ISO/WBFS. To extract run wit extract PATH_TO_ISO PATH_TO_FOLDER To rebuild into a new ISO run wit copy PATH_TO_FOLDER PATH_TO_NEW_ISO

Hacking Is there anyway to use Wiimmfi just with LetterBomb/Smash Stack

Have you tried it? Any exploits will just load a boot.elf or boot.dol file off the root of your sd card, so you should be able to launch pretty much anything. If it requires AHBPROT though (I don't know if the patcher does) then it won't work properly as AHBPROT requires a channel to be...

Tutorial How to properly build an ISO of Project M [Inc. Wi-Fi Instructions]

Not right now, though BrawlBuilder does work with some other builds such as Psycho Ghost's. I haven't been able to figure out what cheats legacy m is using that cause the game to crash, maybe eventually I'll sit down and try to figure it out and then add a fix to BrawlBuilder. I also haven't...

Tutorial How to properly build an ISO of Project M [Inc. Wi-Fi Instructions]

Fun fact, BrawlBuilder also relies heavily on wit, so thank you @Wiimm for all your great work, I don't think the wii scene would be close to where it is today without yours and many others hard work.

Hacking USB Loader GX: "USB Device not initialized. Switching to channel list mode."

Most flash drives should work fine, the odd ones do have issues though. I know one of the older off-brand flash drives that I have doesn't work right in my wii. Might be worth it to try a different flash drive if you have any laying around.

Hacking USB Loader GX: "USB Device not initialized. Switching to channel list mode."

Make sure you are plugging it into the USB port closest to the edge of the Wii. I don't know what kind of drive you are using, but it may need more power than the wii provides. If you have one of those cables that plug in to two usb ports you could try that (make sure the main plug goes into the...

    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

So, new problem, still with Brawl. If I build a Brawl ISO from a folder using wit copy, without using other parameters, the built ISO runs fine. But if I change the ID with --id, then when I try to run the ISO, I get the "Please insert the Super Smash Bros. Brawl Game Disc." screen. Any idea...

    Hacking wwt+wit: Wiimms WBFS+ISO Tools

EDIT: Figured it out, its just the last 2 characters of the title id. Kinda strange, its not something I'd expect would even need to be patched in anywhere, but what do I know :P Hey wiimm, I'm not sure if you would know the answer to this, but it is in regards to Brawl and wit's dolpatch...

    I need help with programming.

Personally, I hate having to sit down and go through a bunch of tutorials to learn a programming language. I prefer to just jump in head first. I learn by running into problems and then looking up how to solve them. Google and Stack Overflow are my best friends. If you're just starting out...
