Hacking Homebrew Tutorial Building Pagascape from source to running Self Hosted mode.

Then /.nvm/versions/node/v9.11.2/bin/ isn't set in ~/.bashrc in the path. It probably doesn't get added when (or the way) you installed it. If you add it to the path, then "sudo -HE node start.js --webapplet" would suffice. Personally though, I'd make an easier .sh file to make executable and...

Hacking Homebrew Tutorial Building Pagascape from source to running Self Hosted mode.

In ubuntu, when using sudo, you need extra flags to preserve the environment (paths and such). I almost always use sudo -HE (although only one of those... I forget which... is really necessary). This takes care of having to type the whole path, as long as that is part of the regular user's path...

Hardware Hall Effect sensor joycon sticks on Amazon

Ribbon cables are finicky bastards. Try changing a scanner on a Xerox 6605 or C405. I swear sometimes it just works, while other times you have to pull out and plug in again the ribbon cable several times for it to work. Buttons can be finicky simply by having the slightest bit of grime on the...

Hardware Hall Effect sensor joycon sticks on Amazon

I just got my KK3MAX a week ago, so I wasn't aware that it couldn't be set previously. What I read, was that you set the face button to auto (or not) and the back button would behave the same as the face button. That never made sense to me, so I haven't even installed any back triggers get. I...

Hardware Hall Effect sensor joycon sticks on Amazon

I would also like to add that it's a real bummer that the back paddles can't be set to turbo, without also setting the buttons they are mapped to, to turbo. Take Metroid Dread, for instance. Turbo makes a lot of things easier. But you also cannot fire a charged shot with turbo active. There is...

Homebrew [Release] FBI - Open source CIA installer

Yea, it hasn't been updated in forever anyways. I don't think it actually needed any updates. I also probably have the latest source and can build it any time I want. Or at least until library updates make changes necessary...

Drastic DS Emulator is Now Free!!

I gave it a try, but it looks like it's incomplete. I used the site below to grab it about the same time I tried this. This gave me an apk of 7,269kb, while the real one is 10,676kb. I would normally be worried about what that site added, and if it's shady, but looking inside of the APKs, I see...

Drastic DS Emulator is Now Free!!

now if only I could find a working apk downloader that isn't a trojan... Anybody know a legit place for that, or a legit android app for making an apk within android? I already set it up to download to my Switch next time I boot into Android (from the play store). @WalterSlovotsky...

Drastic DS Emulator is Now Free!!

I never even heard of it. How good is it? Compatibility? Is it worth installing on my Quest 3?

    NYXI Warrior Incoming!

Gulikit KK3 Max is my new controller of choice. Never did like the Gamecube (or it's controller design), and didn't buy any games for it until the Wii came out with backwards compatibility... and to this day, the only CG games I've played through were Switch remakes.

Emulator Red Viper - Virtual Boy emulator

PSA, if you have a complete MAME rom set, including softwarelist ones, the VB roms are good dumps. Just extract the rom from the zip, and name it something sane with a .vb extension.

Emulator Red Viper - Virtual Boy emulator

is the rom you're trying to launch an official dump, or homebrew?

Emulator Red Viper - Virtual Boy emulator

have you tried both the .3dsx and .cia? I installed the .cia, pointed it to a rom, and it just... worked. Do you have your dsp dumped? I'm probably not even on the latest 3ds firmware, and I'm definitely not on the latest and greatest Luma, because I've had no reason to update anything. And I...

Switch sysMMC not accepting SD card after update with Tinfoil

Not a single thing you said makes sense. TItle says you "updated with Tinfoil". Whatever that means. In the Body, you say you updated with daybreak. Then you disabled mitm... during the update? How exactly would you do that? You mean you disabled mitm, THEN updated with daybreak? WHY would you...

Nintendo is suing the Yuzu emulator team

In Japan it's illegal to modify your console (other than aesthetics, of course). How would you then dump your keys? You can argue some soldering for a NAND dump without technically modifying anything or bypassing any kind of security... but it would be useless without those keys. If NoJ could be...

New Virtual Boy emulator "Red Viper" for 3DS released with full 3D support

This is even in the news forum at mameworld now, and not by a random person either. When you catch their attention, you've hit the "big time" lol EDIT: Oh, crap. Just pulled out my N3DS to give this a go... and the battery is swelled up. I have to buy a new battery. :O

Nintendo is suing the Yuzu emulator team

To be fair, I just recently installed Yuzu in my Quest 3. I didn't install any firmware files at all. Just games and my keys. So I don't think it does require firmware. It's possibly only to run system apps, but don't quote me on that.
