Mainly for battery life but also lowers the heat and therefore lowers the noise by not needing the fan as often. It's not going to make any significant impact on the overall lifespan of the cpu/gpu.
I think you should just experiment which makes the most difference/improvement performance first. For things like this I use the performance overlay in Tesla to see what is getting hit the most... I think turning on the FPS display within RetroArch is sensible too.
This is my approach too. Use...
I don't think you have much to worry about with that small overclock. I think when you are considering overclocking the GPU + CPU to higher clocks then that's when you should be thinking about it a little more.
Which games/emulators are you thinking need the overclock? Where do you think the...
I want to migrate back to Hakete (from fusee-primary) - What's the most painless way to do so?
I've got the hakete template ini in place and loading Atmos-Vanilla I can launch already installed games(with sigpatches), but Tinfoil crashes out. Any ideas?
I think this is a portal service that you run on Android that allows your switch to connect to it in LAN mode. The android service then tunnels it over the internet to other users.
You need to install sigpatches to run installed NSPs. This is still the case even if you want to run nsps from your dumped gamecards.
I personally recommend this to keep Atmosphere and sigpatches up to date...
Would it be possible to have a sort of auto-adjust mode based upon load-percentage?
Basically start at normal clocks and if load is stable(below 50% or certain threshold) with no performance drop then lower the CPU/ or GPU.
Likewise if the CPU/GPU is being hammered consistently(say above 50%...
The dist clips is models being hidden if they are far away. The N64 used this to keep speed up. Since we have more power we can show all objects all the time. I think you should not disable the distance clip if you are using the HD models, etc.
I'd suggest SDI and Cleaner Aesthetic and possibly...
This is awesome! In the end I enabled SGI and improved aesthetic and I had to enable the distance limit as it still maxes out CPU in some cases. I like the 3D tree mod but it also hammers the CPU.
But this is much much better than Nintendo's effort!
Tried the V4 Beta - it's nice although some of the transitions play too quickly. I don't like that the camera has been inverted from the original (The original controls make sense as you are moving the camera around you, that's why they have Lakitu as your camera man)
Also the Wet/Dry world...
I have a few ideas which are relevant if you have an mClassic but may be helpful in performance quality tuning:
Per game resolutions.
Force refresh rate to 30Hz
Per game refresh rate settings
The request to set refresh to 30Hz makes sense in games which are locked to 30fps and forcing the...
I'm wanting to use the RAM and GPU overclocking with RetroArch. Do I just set a preset for the title I use to launch homebrew. Do I need to specify a cpu overclock since RA already does this?
Would it be possible to do something like dynamic resolution scaling so that you set a max and min resolution and the resolution changes if it would cause slowdown?
Similarly could settings be enabled and disabled based on performance, such as texture scaling?
Hi folks! Been away for a while and noticed there's been some new stuff related to wiivc. I'm just wondering a couple of things related to this:
Can the unlocked cpu be used for anything, such as 60fps hacks or some form of anti-aliasing?
Is it within the realms of possibility that USB access...
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.
Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.
For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.
