Hacking The Ultimate WiiU Hack-Setup (all Nintendo games in 1 device) by Eipok - MAR'18

Hi, I've got a little problem and I hope there's someone around here who can help. My setup is roughly as follows (strongly inspired by eipok's setup): SD-card: all important files for WiiU and Wii (32GB FAT32 formatted) Upper USB slot: cardreader with 128GB uSD-card, formatted by the WiiU...

Hardware New 3DS buttons and touch not working

I think @testerfan is on the right track, but not fully spot-on. I have a New 3DS with the same problem. When cold booted, it is working perfectly well for about 30-45 mins, then erratic movements are starting, caused by the circle pad and shortly thereafter, the buttons stop working, except for...

Hacking The ultimate list of NTRBoot compatible flashcards

I have cards that are "not officially supported". How am I supposed to flash them, since the official flasher doesn't recognize them as hackable? Is it possible on a 3DS that is already running CFW or do I have to revert to an NDS Lite? Am I supposed to use a memory card, and if so, what do I...

    Hacking THAT Titlekeys site gone...

Thanks a lot, the mirror is working perfectly well. As does the encTitleKeys.bin from that mirror, Freeshop is not crashing anymore! Edit: It is still crashing as soon as I start a download. I already reformatted and h2testw'ed the card, but will now try another. Btw. does anybody know if the...

Homebrew [RELEASE] Anemone3DS - A Complete Theme and Splash Manager for your 3DS!

Thank you so much for this program, it's really wonderful (and better than Ninny's own theming method imo). However, I have a problem for which I hope you can help me. I have 2 o3DSXL's, both of which have been hacked following 3ds.guide a few days ago, so the software on both is identical...

    Hacking 3DS unbricking progress

I can't say, I've never seen this kind of error before on a 3DS that hasn't been hacked with. I think €30 is pretty much for a non-working 3DS, considering that here in the Netherlands, working 3DS from the first model are sold for €50 or less.

    Hacking 3DS unbricking progress

If it gives that error when it was never attempted to mod, you'd better stay away from it. The unbricking method, as far as I know, only works when you have a dump from the working 3DS and I highly doubt that you can find that on the SD-card (if it's still present). And when errors like this...

Hardware nand flash dump (3ds xl)

For what? To create an external connector on your 3DS? Then it should be allright, as long as you realise that you still need a cardreader, so you can't plug the USB cable straight from your computer to this board.

    Hacking 3DS unbricking progress

You can NOT use a dump from another 3DS XL. It is encrypted with a key that is locked to your specific 3DS. Using a nand dump from a different 3DS is the fastest way to brick your 3DS beyond recovery.

Hardware nand flash dump (3ds xl)

You can still try to use the 17mm pogopins, you only can't close the case. For a temporary solution, this is fine. For a permanent solution, you have to find shorter pogopins. The problem with hot air is that it is harder to control where the heat goes. Since the pads are pretty close to...

Hardware nand flash dump (3ds xl)

You're missing two things. Some people overheat the pads, which loosens the bond that holds them to the PCB, or even already gets them completely loose. The other problem is that some people use solid wire which can cause mechanical stress on the pads and even rip them off when they're not...

    Hacking 3DS unbricking progress

Did you create a full copy of the boot SD card to a USB stick and did you plug this stick in the Raspberry? The moment you pull the boot SD card, the Raspberry has to switch to the stick, otherwise, it doesn't have a operating system anymore and it will go black.

Hardware nand flash dump (3ds xl)

Is it still starting normally when you remove your sd adapter from the cardreader? (No need to desolder the wires, just pull the card and power on the 3DS) If the 3DS doesn't start anymore, there's a chance you damaged something.

Hardware nand flash dump (3ds xl)

It's all on the first page of this thread.

Hardware nand flash dump (3ds xl)

You don't need to know the coded key and currently there's no way to retrieve it from your 3DS (and there probably never will be, because it's strongly encrypted). But as long as you have a nand dump, you can always restore it, you don't need the key for that.

Hardware nand flash dump (3ds xl)

You can dump the nand flash from any 3DS or 2DS with any firmware version (as long as it isn't GW-bricked). But it only makes sense if the firmware version you dump is worth restoring. Generally, any firmware version 4.50 or lower is worth dumping. If you love hardware hacking your 3DS, I'd...

    I think you're right, now that I re-read it.

Hardware nand flash dump (3ds xl)

Wow! You mean you dumped the nand from system A and flashed it to system B and it worked? That would mean that the nand uses a global encryption and not a device-based encryption, as is the common believe. When you flashed system B with the nand from system A, did that actually mean a...

Hardware nand flash dump (3ds xl)

Maybe it's just never been tried? With the PSP it was the same, until someone got the insane idea of flashing decrypted files, everyone believed that it wouldn't work, because "Sony would have closed that hole for sure" but they just didn't.

Hardware nand flash dump (3ds xl)

That's what I want to find out. If it does read the files, we're ok. If it doesn't, we have to search further. I'm also in Europe so that's no problem for me. But more important, if the method works, I'm sure decrypted Asian and US dumps of lower firmware versions will appear all over the web...

a new console won't do anything right now, because the games are still in development, that's why there are few games being released

it won't make the games finish any faster
