Super Mario Maker 1 levels on 3DS version?

I saw that the last level of Super Mario Maker has been beaten, and it got me wondering if the level can be played on 3DS somehow. Does anyone know if it can be and if so how?

    G6 Save converter still around?

Did it come with the cart or is it a homebrew app? If it came with the cart I might have it.

Emulation Project 64 v1.6 still has a following?

This isn't something I know a lot about, but I get the impression that Project 64 v1.6 still has a following. Why is that? I would have thought, perhaprs naively, that the latest version would be better. I think there was also a v1.7 circa 2005, but I think you had to pay for it or be on some...

Citra 3DS emulator is also shutting down development, GitHub repo taken down

Wasn't the last update to Citra around 6 years ago? If so it doesn't seem like this news is going to have any effect on anything, except maybe giving someone else the idea to pick up development.

Romhackers recreate lost media for "BS F-Zero" from scratch

I'll bet you can check if you go through each frame of the VHS video tapes like the people that did this work did.

Romhackers recreate lost media for "BS F-Zero" from scratch

That sounds a bit misleading about the BS Zelda titles. Aren't large parts of them made-up to fill in the gaps? Or perhaps my knowledge is out of date.

"The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap" decomp reaches 100% completion

Like, the last 20% of a project takes 80% of the time, and vice-versa.

Epic Games wins lawsuit against Google and its app store policies

I believe the dispute hinges on conflating payment method with store. iirc Epic was unhappy that apps on the Play store can't use credit card billing and must use Google IAPs, where Google takes a huge cut. Seems a legit grievance to me. I expect this is mostly about setting a precedent for...

What N64 games have PC port?

Some games have an official PC port, like Star Wars Episode 1 Racer. I wouldn't recommend it though as they took out the split screen mode. The Turok trilogy is also available for PC, as is Glover and Forsaken. The Glover port does not have good reviews.

"Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" for the Sega Saturn gets an advanced QoL hack and English translation

How come after applying the patch and making the first .bin file larger, the offset for the second .bin file in the .cue file isn't adjusted? Did I misunderstand multisession CDs?

"Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" for the Sega Saturn gets an advanced QoL hack and English translation

Very nice. The patched file wouldn't load for me, so I converted it using an old version of Nero and it's great now. Onto the backlog it goes. EDIT: Oh nevermind, it crashed.

GBAtemp's games of the year for 2023

Does Avatar require an internet connection? I am unimpressed that Hogwarts Legacy can't be started offline. I guess on PC you rarely notice, but you sure notice on Switch.

Does the general emulation community understand that:

I think there's a few reasons, the top two being: 1. The form factor. Adding a controller to a phone is often cumbersome, or locks the phone inside something bulky. 2. Phone batteries are barely tolerable as it is. Playing demanding games on phones means bring a heavy powerbank.

Nintendo has taken down the Link's Awakening fan remake

While I agree, I think more responsibility lies with the developers. The devs are the ones announcing their creations before they're finished, inviting a shutdown. If they must do a development blog, why not do it secretly and publish the blog at release time? That'd be awesome. I'm just glad...

Hacking Android Removing DRM from old Android games?

Does anyone know how to remove DRM from old Android games? I have some that I bought on the Amazon App Store around 2013 and none of them are available anymore. I'd like to remove the requirement for the Amazon App Store. Thanks.
