    I haven't looked in depth, but RAM, CPU, etc. are all the same. The 2DS just misses out on the gimmicky 3D, which I turn off so in my case I wish that I had gotten a new 2DS rather than the n3dsxl... I came from a nds, and my supercard 2 works in my n3dsxl so it should in the n2ds as well...
