Sorry for the offtopic content that I am about to put forth. Recently, Samsung released some variant of Galaxy S7 in Europe that says only European sim cards are usable. The same thing also happens in US where those greedy cellular carriers sim lock all of their smartphones. Not being able to use other sim cards on a phone sounds very similar in concept to region locking on Nintendo consoles. Is Nintendo to blame for spreading their region locking fever on other products? What does the Nintendo even earns by putting region lock on their console? Because of this bad move, they lost billions of dollars on their products and it disheartens to see how other companies are following in Nintendo's footsteps.
