Ignore that faceplate-less Wii

By the way, I changed the color from black to white to avoid reflections. Privacy matters.

UPDATE: I ran SysCheck, everything fine, but after completing the "Checking IOS vulnerabilities" it just went to BootMii (I assume that's normal)

I put the SD Card on my laptop and found a new Microsoft Excel file, I assume that's the log.

I can't upload the file so I'll just screenshot it.

Yes I can boot to BootMii from PriiLoader, it's not installed on boot2 because it's most likely a post-2008 Wii, and Nintendo fixed the bug with boot1 that allowed unofficial programs (a.k.a HackMii) to install BootMii into boot2. So it's only on IOS

As I said, I tried to restore the backup but it said that "The SD Card or NAND file is corrupted", when it clearly is not, since I got it working on the first try with Dolphin. So, I don't know what to do.
if its not on boot 2 it wont flash the nand due to boot mii being the nand. from my experiences anyways

You can restore the NAND with BootMii just fine without boot2. You just need a GC controller to enter the Konami code. BootMii != NAND. It's just a patch to the real boot2 that loads a file from SD if it's present before continuing the normal boot process.

Can you try this SysCheck instead?

Just open the .csv file in a text editor and paste the contents in spoiler tags.

I also tried to uninstall Priiloader from the installer but it says that "It couldn't find it", when, clearly it is there. Ready to see me when I boot the system :/.

That still looks a bit odd. Maybe the Wii came with 4.3 already and that's why it seems like there's so few IOSes to me, but there are bunch in the 50s missing, like IOS58.

I'm leaning towards recommending using DOP-Mii to reinstall 4.3. It has the ability to back up the Priiloader files and replace them after the update so it may be less likely to leave your console in a completely unrecoverable state.

I'm glad trying to uninstall Priiloader didn't make it worse for you at least. I was hesitant to suggest that.

Please note this Wii has 3.4U, not 4.3U. So that's why there are some missing IOSes

But using DOP-Mii has a pretty likely chance of messing thing up. Can I upgrade to 4.3U from it? If not them I'm screwed and stuck with 3.4U

If you were already willing to take the potential brick risk of uninstalling Priiloader, then I would suggest you try installing an unmodified 3.4U System Menu (SystemMenu_3.4U_v385.wad) which should also remove Priiloader in the process. As GreyWolf said, if you use DOP-Mii to install it then you should also have the option to keep Priiloader.

Then afterwards if the Wii boots to the system menu you can perform a normal system update from the system settings, and finally reinstall Priiloader.

WARNING - This is potentially risky as installing a new System Menu could remove Priiloader, and if the Wii still doesnt boot afterwards you may end up with a brick with no (easy) way to recover.

i would try to update it to 4.3 and not mess with pri loader. I dont use any automated methods.
they way i hack Wii's is first load smash stack to install hb channel.
Install cios236
then install all the custom ios using the installer.
The method i use does nothing to the system menu or the system menu ios. so its almost brick proof. I even hacked a 3.1 wii to play the newer games without updating the system menu. You just have to manually install the missing ios.

I must mention again that I was getting a BBEEAAUUTTIIFFUULL error "32007" while trying to upgrade. Some say it's because it's soft-modded, others say it's because my internet has a whopping, never seen before, one-of-a-kind, 200 kilobytes per second average speed.

So yeah I don't know. I know I can use NUSD to download the WAD's but I don't know how to install them.

Well if your having network connection issues that could mess things up, so probably best to download all the necessary wad's on your PC first, and then transfer them to your Wii's SD card (Just make sure you don't download vWii wad's, as they are meant for the Wii U)

You should be able to acquire the necessary wad's using NUSD or ModMii:-
https://gbatemp.net/threads/modmii-for-windows-official-support-topic.207126/

and then install them using DOP-Mii or YAWMM:-

It's not like I have network issues. It's because this country's average internet speeds are ranked as *the worst*. Just do some googling and you'll find out.

Some Command Prompt window is downloading a "ModMii6.4.5.zip" file at a WHOPPING... 20 KB/s. Internet's fast isn't it?

I downloaded both the .elf and .zip file for YAWMM, not sure if that's what I need.

What should I do now?

You may as well go to 4.3.
The only reason 4.1 is recommended is because 4.2/4.3 patched some exploits, but once u get Priiloader back it doesnt really make any difference.

Go to download page 1 then enter which system menu you want and hit D to download. You should end up with a WAD for that version.

will modmii also prompt for the sysmenu ios required? cause he doesn't seem to have IOS70 or IOS60 should he choose an older sysmenu version.
also not a single cIOS installed to 249/250 or existing IOS's patched?

Oh sh...

J6T3QhV.png

I'll try to do this on my desktop, it's running Windows 10, so I hope this doesn't happen again

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Nevermind, ModMii detected that there were existing files so it skipped them. Nice. I just hope it doesn't crash again

Ok, it's done. What should I do now?

So to install all those patched IOSs you downloaded you need to install a patched IOS first (that is IOS236) according to a standard modmii auto-generated guide. Now only for simplicity am I going to boldy suggest you deviate from those normal steps (which btw if you had only used ModMii from the start u wouldn't be in this mess).

You can install an official unmodified/unpatched wad using any of the normal/official non-stubbed IOSs you already have installed as long as whatever your installing's version number isn't lower than what's currently installed. Also, I see that you already have IOS80 installed (unpatched but also unstubbed). So, I would suggest you install the 4.3U system menu IOS using any wad manager (mmm, yawmm, dopmii, whatever) - it is safe only because you have IOS80 already installed. You can try using dopmii if you want to try to retain your priiloader installation as others mentioned earlier but Ive never bothered with that before personally. That being said, after you install the 4.3U system menu, and you return to the homebrew channel, I would suggest you reinstall priiloader immediately before exiting the homebrew channel (if things go sour you might not easily get another chance).

I'm assuming you followed my earlier advice about making a second nand backup already, if not, do that first just in case.

So to reiterate, I suggest you make another nand backup, load up your sd card with a wad manager, 4.3U system menu wad, and priiloader installer, then launch the homebrew channel and install the 4.3U system menu wad, then immediately before exiting the HBC reinstall priiloader (assuming you didn't go out of your way to retain it in the previous step).

That should solve your issue. Then, use Modmii's main wizard function to mod your wii as if you were doing it for the first time (I. E. That it's a virgin) in order to properly mod your wii this time.

Main risk with this is losing power during the system menu installation (which is generally always a standard risk everyone faces unless u have a wii with bootmii installed as boot2) , barring that I am confident this should solve your problem but feel free to wait for someone else to agree that my plan is sound.
