You can use it. YSmenu lets you browse the entire filesystem instead of just listing every .nds it finds like the original kernel. It will also fix Okamiden and maybe some other games the original kernel can't play for some reason. But it will break Pokemon BW(2). And can't use RTS with it.

All latest 2017 r4isdhc.com carts are the same, and they work with ysmenu. The main advantage would be getting rid of the time bomb, and replacing the original ui which imho, is ugly as sin.
I'm able to play Pokémon Black/White 2 just fine on YSmenu, I'm using YSmenu on the R4i SDHC 3DS RTS flashcart.
Does anyone know how to make kernels like this? What I mean by this is basically what programs can I use to make these things?

not trying to dual boot this, trying to run the YSmenu only, is there a way to do that? when i transferred the YSmenu over and try to boot into card i get a menu with a question mark? or is dual boot the only option?@ Everyone

Hello, I've been following this project for about 3 or 4 years from the shadows, i'm using dual boot with YSMenu in an R4I3D from the first outings to the market, just before they used wood as firmware; I wanted to ask if you could give me support for the firmware to the partially translated (to spanish) megaman starforce 3 black ace's rom that circulates on internet (since I think they will not get more versions of the translation than the partially translated) huge thanks if you can read this message and can try to help me with this game, You are the best!

I have a problem with my microsdcard in combination with my m3 ds real and rgfs ysmenu (the original m3dsrealfirmware behaves worse)
a few games stop working while playing ingamevideos. (for example Kingdomhearts recoded and Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey)
my allday sdcard for ds is a sandisk-32GB-class10-card there the problem occurs.
i tested an old noname-1GB-card and the former notworking games played well.
i guess my card is too fast.

My dump of BW2(which is working well on Supercard DSONE EOS) fail to load with error -4 in YSMenu.
For a while I wasn't having any issue with YSMenu but now all I get is a white screen with an image of an sd card that just says "Menu?"
M3 ds real with dual boot. Ysmenu 7.05 installed. Zelda Spirits Track 4544 (Hash: 84AA2400) works well. Zelda Spirits Track (Rev 1) 6663 (Hash: 4F9E66F0) does not work (both screens are black after Nintendo logo). ¿Different AP?.
Maybe, however the M3 never got updates for half of the revisions out there.
Sure, but I launch both games using Ysmenu. In fact, I launch all the comercial games using Ysmenu. From M3 menu I launch homebrew only. Other games like Art Academy does not work if you launch it with M3 menu but it works perfectly using my configuration with dual boot launching it from Ysmenu. I think that rev1 game use different anti-piracy protection not included in Ysmenu for that game yet.

I have a R4isdhc.com Dual Core 2018 cart. I am currently running the r4i v3.9b kernel. How can I make YSMenue as the primary boot? Is it possible to bypass the timebomb by using it as primary boot?
