Mythical legendaries, a different class. Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, etc.

And it was more of a year of mythical Pokemon, not legendaries.

I'm confused by this event. If you have OR/AS and US/UM, you basically are able to get all the legendaries up to that point besides a select few, and double of a good chunk of them depending on your versions. What's the plan for this? To make it 3, or 4 in the case of people who have X/Y too? Why not give out special event pokemon with unique setups that create interesting strategies for battle? Maybe give out special FEAR pokemon? IDK. I just want something new than just "lOOK IT'S THE LEGNEDARIES!!!"

Perhaps they're doing it for people who don't have those games? I know plenty of people who trade in their Pokémon games after finishing them.

Because GF and TPC have yet to understand that nobody wants legendaries anymore, as you can get them basically for free from the GTS (eg: for a random high level mon) if you want them and don't have the corresponding game. They took all player interactions away from the game, making it impossible to talk/communicate with people online, so the trading/collecting part of Pokemon became completely ruined and boring af, so now the only thing that matters are the battles. Giving us more legendaries when we can just find them all over the place is meaningless! And if we want competitive legends, we just use 1-2 bottle caps and it's ready! They need to take the hint already and give us some unique stuff or at least old event-exclusive moves, like those from Pokemon XD's/Colosseum's bonus disks or from Pokemon Box Ruby/Sapphire or generally things that aren't a literal joke to get! They aren't even releasing the legends with their hidden abilities, making them completely useless...

They are but when people claim 'Gen 7' to be the best I really can't take them seriously. GF did such a lackluster job with the games despite releasing 2 years after ORAS (But that doesn't matter since release dates/times have NOTHING to due with game development)

Still sounds like your opinion. Many fucking LOVE gen 7 and consider it up there as a really awesome one. Gen 3 was still the best

Gen 3 is second best for me, I just like too many Gen 4 mons and that unique feel Sinnoh had where it felt like one big countryside village... But Gen 3 would have been best if it had actual day/night cycles and if it was easier to get the event items to catch the legends (Old Sea Map, Eon Ticket, etc...), as I loved some of those locations (like Navel Rock or Birth Island for that fun Deoxys puzzle) but couldn't access them without cheating, making it less fun.
