Another question, if I buy a new, new 3ds, when I set up all the basic stuff like my mii, time, and date will it force me to update to the latest firmware?

No, you wont get the update nag from setting up the basics of the 3ds console.

Yes, you don't want to access those while connected to the net (the risk is very tiny, and it is easy to fix, so you can just not worry about it if you want. I don't personally worry about it)

Fixing it just the unbanning process where you get another friend code and replace it your banned one with it right?

Good morning.

I have an old Nintendo 3DS XL with the latest 11.6.0-39E update and this flashcard:

I am new to this and I was wondering if it would be compatible with ntrboot. I want to get the saves in order to use PKHex. Is it?

If it is not compatible, what do you recommend me to do? Buy a preflashed r4 b9s? Or would I need to downgrade my 3DS? Or get another 3DS?

I would really appreciate any advice you can give me. I have read the guide in full but I would like to get some word of advice from somebody before I start touching something and brick my 3DS.

Currently on N3DSXL 11.5.0-38E fully rooted a while ago.

I see there is a new OS update for 11.6, of course I didn't update but is it possible to upgrade to 11.6 currently and keep everything as it is?

"fully rooted"? If you followed 3ds.guide you can safely update.

I mean I used the 3ds.guide a while ago to upgrade to 11.5 from 11.0.

So it's safe to just click update when it pops up?

Yes hello, whenever i try to download whatsoever(FBI.cia for it to be on 3ds front page or freeshop.cia or in qr) i get an error that goes

Failed to install cia file.
Result Code: 0xD8E0806A
Level

Desc: Cert signature or hash check failed (106)
Please help ive tried downloading many different versions of FBI on my SD card and they all give me that error

I dont think the problems are with the links, but with FBI, every single qr code or downloads are failes and it gives the same error everytime

is this the 3dsx version of fbi or the cia version?
also, did you try the qr i sent you?

I use 3dsx to boot fbi on homebrew and trying to download cia so i have it on front page, and yes i tried it

have you tried installing the latest cia version of fbi, then running that cia version to install freeshop?
