Is there any way that each emulator uses its own configuation because every time i make change for one , its same configuration for the other.

Load the emulator of choice, load any game, make the changes that you want, then from the Quick Menu, select Save Core Overrides.

Hi, I'm on the 1.6.9 (stable, n3ds) and the gameboy emulators aren't working, they crash when Retroarch says the core needs a content file, PLZ fix it (I've tried using the nightly builds)

I've just got TGB-Dual (gb, gbc) working which needs testing.
At the moment it's not possible to load two different games, it just loads the same game twice due to core limitations (core needs to be updated). The controls for the second GB aren't working either. Single GB is working fine so far.
I'll upload it later this week.

Games like FF7 and some 3D RPGs are perfectly playable, though more graphically intensive games will do a bit worse. Ironically 3D ones tend to outperform 2D when it comes to things like world maps since large maps (take FF2 for example) will cause lag.

Though the problems I'm having with the newer nightlies seem to much more often have to do with crashs. I don't really mind the slowdown and crappy sound, but crashing makes me lose so much progress. Or is it perhaps because I'm using savestates too frequently (in order not to lose progress, though...)? Trying to play FF8

Megaman Legends is well playable with the right settings on N3DS, but sound is still crappy.
(retroarch nightly 2017-12-03 cia; Audio-Driver : DSP; Games in PBP-Format)

Yes It runs well though I wouldn't call it playable without sound. I haven't tested a game that runs decent with sound enabled (castlevania S.O.N was close). If you compare it to your average android emulator, Pcsx rearmed for 3DS is mediocre at best. Not trying to shit on your post, I just feel like people are calling alot of games "playable" simply because any PS1 game running on 3DS is impressive. While I do agree, this might just be the same mentality that has haulted the emulators progress (apart from hardware limitations). I'm keeping standards high but expectations low when it comes to pcsx for 3DS.

Let's wait and see if there will be any improvements.

Random question: Any progress on any 3DS cores in the past half year? Anything after the update where they made rewind automatically disabled.

Will these files work with a DSTWO + Flash-cart or must I home-brew my device before hand in order to use these files?
Also I don't see catsfc once I decompressed the .7z file.

Depends. If you are on a compatible version for either the Gateway plugin or their GPL-violating ReiNAND ripoff, Freegame, you should be able to as those are the only ways to run 3DS programs with a DSTWO+. If not, then yes, you must homebrew your device. CFW is recommended. If you can use the gateway clone feature or fake reinand you should be able to install it with ease using 3ds.guide. CATSFC-libretro is also now SNES9X2005-libretro.

I just recently got this NN2DSXL and I think I am going to install home-brew on it.
Currently I don't have any CFW Plugins on my DSTWO+, is it worth installing one?

So if I use my DSTWO+ Flash-cart to Home-brew my DS through the Gateway plugin does Home-brew install to my device or to the Flash-cart/SD Card?
I'm not sure how home-brewing exactly works. What is the better or current recommended way to home-brew you device with 3ds.guide?

So.. yeah, I'm currently using some of the plugins for the DSTWO+ like TempGBA, CATSFC and some others. But I figured that I should just home-brew my NN2DSXL and bring it up to speed with RetroArch's emulators, they should definitely perform better than the DSTWO+ Plugins with all the updates they have had recently, right? for sure..

It didn't work for me (the TGB-Dual.. I couldn't reply to MrHuu lol) :'( I really really hope they fix all those bugs. The interface still freezes (I don't like the other one, although, the default is gorgeous) thanks for trying to help though(sorry if my English is a mess).

Could you try to explain what isn't working for you?

Does the core itself load?
Did you place the included .core file in 'sd:/retroarch/cores/'?

Or are the roms not loading? GB or GBC?

I've been able to use it with multiple roms so far, o3ds, n3ds and n2ds. You should be able to get it working too.
