Hey guys, I'm streaming something of a Q & A session while I playtest/make sure the level curve doesnt get too hard in the late game of Setting Sun & Waxing Moon.

How can I remove all the Pokemon encounter (not un-buff their higher levels, but remove the Pokemon that are usually not there), moveset, and ability modifications you made? I enjoy the harder difficulty & convenient evolution methods, but would like to otherwise play the same game as everyone else.

ALSO:
My Masquerain has its hidden ability (prevents opponent from eating berries), which SUCKS compared to its normal one ("Intimidate").
My Azumarill also has its hidden ability (sap sipper) instead of its normal one ("Huge Power"!!! Which DOUBLES Attack!!!).
I wish both of these Pokemon came with their original abilities instead, while retaining the usual methods of getting their hidden ones, if desired. The Masquerain thing especially really, really "bugs" me :P. But they both suck now.

If you want to remove the wild encounters you also have to remove the levels wild pokemon get as a form of balance, sorry. The wild encounters are the a\0\8\2 or(3) file.

As for Masquerain and Azumarill, they have a 50/50 chance of getting either abilities. So Unnerve or intimidate and Sap Sipper or Huge Power. It's a step up from their previous 50/50s being stuff like swarm, don't you think?

Ah, you're too good @ your craft. Sorry, I didn't realize that.

So the moveset modifications and ability modifications you made (which I might actually want to keep now, lol) would be removed as well? If I deleted that directory?

Hey not sure if you saw my previous comment, @Kobazco, but can you hide what pokemon the trainer is about to switch into? I'd really appreciate it.
I'd prefer to not do that for the base version of my game, but if you want to change it anyone can do it they have pk3ds and a dump of their game by editing game text. If somebody wants to provide a game text with that version for me, I'd be happy to add it to the downloads.

No, but you can remove the following files to remove any type/stats/moveset changes. Some trainers will still have illegal movesets though.
  • a\0\1\3
  • a\0\1\7
Also I've updated the game

Changelog:
  • Executor island has encounters changed.
  • Version in trainer passport says "1.0"
  • All of the trade evolution items can now actually be used.
  • Alolan Graveler evolves into Alolan Golem at level 36.

Example using a magmarizer on a magmar will make it magmortar.

Also, Pumpkaboo and Phantump cannot be evolved without trading.

Right you are. I edited the wrong value for those two items it seems.

I always forget those 2 are even trade evolutions, fixed now just gotta upload it.

Is there any convenient method for viewing the type, stat and movepool changes? I've noticed some of the changes but I couldn't seem to find a specific list of all of the changes in a convenient form.

Sorry, like I said I didn't particularly document the exact base stat changes. It was just something to me that would add more exhaustion, things already were a lengthy process and doing them twice basically didn't sound very appealing to me.

I didn't make an announcement, but I fixed the issues with the Sachet and Whipped Dream as well as phantump and pumpkaboo now evoloving at lvl 36 each.

Sorry I haven't progressed towards completing the post game. The process of getting this far in itself was simply exhausting, and finals are this week. I hope I can deliver an amazing post game soon though :D

Sadly, there is currently a bug where after the opening cutscene plays in Setting Sun, the game crashes.

This happened because I did not test the game on sun since I didnt have a copy to do so on. I'd like to ask for Sun users to help me out and see if they can't isolate the issue and find out what's causing it.

I have played sun up to the water trial and had no issues. I am not using the latest update that fixed phantump etc. so it might have something to do with that.

Huh that's interesting.

If you have a save game manager can you back up your save, update, and then try starting a new game?
