I'm batch installing a few games, so I've got one question:

What happens if I install a game that I've already bought on eShop?
Will WUP installer overwrite the original ticket, add a second one or just use the legit one?

The game content itself will obviously be overwriten, but that doesn't matter. But if a game is installed five times, for example, there shouldn't be five tickets. Or will there always be one ticket more?

Sorry if that question was asked already, couldn't find a clear answer looking up the forums and google. Thanks!

You'd overwrite the real ticket with a fakesigned one, if you need another copy for a mod or something you could change the title ID of the game.

Thanks for the info. In that case I will sort them out manually.

Have you actually tried this yourself?
Do disc tickets and eShop tickets behave the same here? Both will be overwritten by the latest installed fake tickets?
On the other hand, do fake tickets prevent me from buying a title on eShop?

This is not about about a mod, just about batch installing all the games that I consider worthy to be on my Wii U. But I don't want to overwrite something legit with fake tickets.

Is there any in-depth documentation about the behaviour of tickets and WUP installer (and it's forks)?

(I'm a bit sceptical. But if there is no safety mechanism in WUP installer, it should be as you described. Either this or a ton of tickets.)

Why would you include games in your batch install that have already been purchased and installed? This makes no sense

True, there is not enough documentation regards tickets.

It's either "you are a pirate" so screw you, or "lol you buying legit games when you can pirate them" so screw you, extremes.
