Using a PC program and a plugin to predict when a shiny will be encountered so you can catch it when it's generated by the game; more or less.

You could just import your save in Ultra Moon since you have Ultra Sun and catch the version exclusives, then import back to US
It is very much cheating, any sort of memory manipulation is cheating. RNG sniping isn't cheating, but RNG manipulation with external programs is.Because it's fun to do and not cheating
