OCDM - Mario Maker 3DS course manager

OCDM stands for Online Course Database Manager

Features*:
  • import and export courses, both** 3DS and WiiU
  • cryptofix saves (if the game marked your save as "corrupted")
    • Note: this will overwrite the LockoutID in your courses, not in the save file, so please be fair and don't reupload others' courses :)
  • make/apply save snapshots (exports all files which are used in the save)
    • Note: please format your save data before restoring your save otherwise the game could mark your save as "corrupted", and this one is not cryptofixable
  • browse SMMDB
    • download courses
    • discontinued

*: these features are in the latest build at the time of editing this post, so functionality in the public build could differ
**: due to differences in the 3DS and the WiiU version, importing a converted course file on a foreign platform could crash the game on loading the course

Hello people, I just wrote an email to Nintendo to convince them that there is still hope in 3DS users to have an online feature in this game. Plz read my email and u people plz write one too to Nintendo. My email to them:

My email is about Super Mario Maker for 3ds, please give it a feature to play and share online levels. You have destroyed the whole purpose of the game, why the hell don't you understand? Also, you are misleading little kids who don't do research just because their parents don't allow them to, and hence they think that this version has an online feature and make their parents buy them for 40$, are you kidding me? Don't think it is late, many people still have hope and play this game... I hope my words make you understand

Thank you

Pointless but lemmie give this a quick reply.

Nintendo probably wont be convinced by anything with "why the hell" and "are you kidding me" in it firstly. Secondly, the purpose of Mario Maker 3DS based on the marketing is having access to unlimited mario levels, not playing and sharing online. That's the WiiU version. Now, it's dumb that the 3DS version has no online sharing, but the marketing isnt misleading at all. I had fun with the game even before Marcus and Tarnadas came in and admittedly made it much better.

Ok but with a different e mail account, when I sent them an e mail with kind language, they just replied by saying not possible. So I thought to write the hard way, lol

I've read quite a bit, but I'm still confused... what does this currently do?
This is a Mario Maker 3DS save manager, basically. It lets you import courses not from your 3DS for example.

Also why does the top left of my screen say die when I start it up?

That's supposed to say the program name and version, but appearently I wasn't in a good mood when I made that commit... The latest build with the online part has this issue already fixed.

Is there anything else you need aside from SMM3DS to use this?

A hacked 3DS (either *hax on non-CFW systems or installed as a cia on CFW'd systems), an SDCard inserted with enough space on it, the game itself installed either as a cia or in cartridge form, and internet connection on your internet browsing device and/or your 3DS or a card reader for transferring saves between the internet browsing device and the 3DS

I'm assuming it's only been updated for the .3dsx file since I installed the cia.

So just to make sure I get this straight, this let's you download (without having to use a PC) other people's courses and play them on your own?

Is this still an active project?
I'm getting "The application has crashed" with the result: E0A046E4. Up in the logs it mentions "Can't open archive C8804464".
Any fixes? Am I doing something wrong?

are you using cartridge or digital? do you have both digital and cartridge, or multiple digital copies installed? please also tell me the console region, the game region, and the game TitleID, that'd help

I'm using a regionfree version of the digital. TID is 00040000001A0500. Console Region is EUR.

EDIT: I've got 1.03 update as well, EUR.

I just realized the public build is so old that it says "die" instead of OCDM .-.
uuuh... I'll definitely forget to upload a new build, so eh...

using cia or 3dsx?

Offtopic, but why?

imho *hax was only good 'till I "invented" socks

the problem with *hax is that it takes some time to launch, it has a somewhat uncomfortable failure rate, and you barely have any service access (no mcu::HWC for example), so yeah... :/
