Hardware How do I connect speakers or headphones?

Current setup is dvi(monitor) to HDMI(PS3) converter.
My monitor has no speakers built in, how do I connect external speakers or headphones to the ps3?

It only outputs Voice chat audio, no in-game or console audio.

I think usb may work, but not sure if is only head sets. The speakers have to actually have audio acceptance over usb. Maybe you can find a usb Audio driver, that has 3.5MM ports on it for speaker and microphone. Again, not sure. You might want to find some youtube videos about using USB audio. Though it would suck considering you could use the usb for charging controllers or something.

Other than that, bluetooth works, or usb headset. Does your monitor not have speakers? Maybe connect some to it?

If you haven't figured it out yet

use composite or component cables, and enable sound output on non-preferred devices from system settings
