In the dead of night i use NTR to enable backlight control and drop it down to 2 or 3.
Do u mean NTR Selector?

Does anyone think this guy can't use the brightness feature?

"1" is still too bright
That seems like something to be concerned about. You might want to setup an appointment to make sure your eyes are doing alright

Ohh, it’s a personal preference. I was a bit worried that it was actually causing you eye strain. I worry about my fellow temper’s health.
That being said, I am not familiar with homebrew bringing the brightness below 1. So hopefully the already suggested posts help you

I tried NTR Selector 3.6 but the light doesn't seems to change... Is it because I also have custom theme (installed by CHMM2)?

1. I agree that the stock home menu's 1 brightness is too bright when all lights are turned off. If you don't then whatever. Guess me and op are moles.

2. Ntr won't change your brightness on your home menu, only when you start a game does it change, if I'm not wrong and actually thinking about the blue light reducer option...

Btw the blue light reducer is quite nice, as it is similar to iPhone's night shift :P
