Like install a CIA and be done with it?
I guess getting a public seed and injecting with godmode is good enough for now but god knows it's such a hassle to unscrew the N3DS everytime that seed gets banned to switch with a new one.
Whatever happened to Unbanmii?

Personally, I don't hope so. Don't get me wrong, hacking is fun and cool. But a lot of people forget the real risk and worries about hacking, and even try to earn money by installing it to not suspecting end users... There is a risk, and there is always an other way.

Unbanmii is doomed from the day it started. People were not in sync while making it and the team fell apart.

In all honesty, I don't really care if someone uses my friendcode without my approval if the unban tool works but that's just me.
Still, it seems to me that easy unbanning is the only thing the 3DS modding scene hasn't achieved yet and public friend seeds aren't exactly a permanent solution.

Although Unbanmii had a rocky start, it's been proven that it does work as Intended and doesn't do anything without your permission. The best part is, it can only unban a person from banwaves, meaning things like cheating online and playing games early will result in a permaban, while Nintendo banning random cfw users can be unbanned easily. I recommend the tool as it seems to be extremely secure now that it's cracked open.

Isn't that the one that stole people's LFCS_B?

No need to unscrew, you can use MicroSD Management instead.

It was confirmed to only run a quick check of the friendcodeseed. It was only suspicious due to the lack of the source code, but that has since been released, or at least the method in which it works.

I have a link to the entire reasoning behind the application. Sono is a good dev, that accidentally made a mistake. Unbanmii is completely safe, it just caused a panic. https://gbatemp.net/entry/unbanmii-2-0-technical-writeup.13025/
Except you left out the part where Marcus admitted the seeds were stored, as well as Paul admitting he didn't delete them until they were discovered to have been culling them. Even in the thread you linked he said he made a drop table to delete the 17 entries they had from the program. Honestly, it was the fact of the matter that using the program automatically uploaded your unique console info to a saved API, and were stored, not simply verified and deleted. That was the problem. I look forward to it's rebirth as it was definitely useful.
People can only unban themselves from unfair bans anyway. Sun and moon bans are still impossible to fully recover from.
They weren't impossible to bypass when they happened :D

OP I would only see a something like this useful for people who blatantly do stuff to get banned. The public ones get banned like every quarter (4 months) if you get banned more than that you probably deserve it.

Well if I have to admit something it's that I was a part of the SM banwave. When I used a LFCSB from a backup console, I never fully recovered. I managed to remove my nnid and change my console serial as well. Now my console is in limbo without an nnid. It works perfectly online besides the fact that I cannot use nnid related services such as the eShop and miiverse. Whenever I try to create a new nnid I would get the ban error, but otherwise everything is fine. It's an odd state, but it's not too big of a deal. I'm just a bit salty I can't give Nintendo money for Pokemon bank.
