can't really see the point of any new ones now since vitashell has been updated for usb function to sd2vita, there is no need to remove the card anymore. i have both V.1 and the game card shape but still use the v.1 as it just stays in there. but it's a matter of choice at the end of the day.

The point for me would be that I can close flap door on Vita ;)
I have V2.0 and it's protruding 2-3mm, just enough to make the flap not close as it should...and it annoys me. :(

EDIT: OK, I exagarated a bit, it's about 1mm protruding, and it still is annoying!
Here's the pics:

(if you have a safe way to tear out the spring mechanism, it should allow it to close. I notice the difference in price for the 3.0 version. I seems cheaper since it doesn't have the spring mechanism. You would have to take out the sd adapter to remove the sd card without tweezers)

I have the 2.0 too, which also causes there to be a gap in the flap when closing. Worse still, i think it's a little too thick so the spring doesn't eject the cart properly, i still use a piece of tape to pull out the cartridge...

Read on Reddit that one guy had already received the 3.0, but still has the flap closing issue.

Filing a tiny amount from each edge (other than the top) of the smiley face sd2vitas makes them insert/eject much more smoothly. At least it did for the three I've seen in person.

:( I decided to sand my adapter (smiley one), and I sand for 4-5 times till I got it to sit perfectly, and could close the doors...and I killed it :D
Every time I sand it off a little and then insert it in vita and tried, every time it worked, except the last time.
I tried the sd card on the reader on my PC and slot on vita with original gamecard, both worked, so only thing I killed is adapter:)
Now I ordered 5 pcs of smiley ones form alliexperess for 5$ (a buck per piece) so I can experiment...but until they arrive, I have no modded vita :(

Really !? fuk thats very off putting ....
True... it recognized enso (logo) but then it just quits and refuses to load anything. It just shows enso logo and that’s it. After 1-2minutes it boots without a Hack lol... well but springload of the vita is flawless! Maybe mine is broken but others work?
The sd is fine btw.. tried my self made v1 afterwards without any problem.

Edit: I try to reformat my as again maybe it boots that way but I doubt it

if it's making a bad connection, the enso logo should remain on indefinitely. it's obviously not recognizing the cart at all then.

It kind of does. The gamecard led loads constantly. It sees it but does not read conpletelY. After formatting still same result. My unit is broken! Bad quality sadly but feel and look is perfect.

I m using my self made v1 until the seller ships another one .. or else I ll take my money back.i ordered a v2 too just in case.

If the v3 works for someone it surely will be a perfect device. But broken reader sucks ^^

I have a v1 and a v2, both work flawlessly. it could be that v3 is just cheaply made. those carts aren't very expensive to make anyway. it looks nice though, but that means nothing if it doesn't function correctly.

Hmmm when I copied all files to an sd, placed plugins, edited config, I had nothing showing, no games I had, no homebrew. Really was pissed... now my vita mem card is uma0 and vita2sd as ux, works fine
Can I format my mem card(vita one) now?

u may need to remove the sd2vita. I don't know what will happen if it's set as uma0 though. it should allow u to format. the sd2vita should rebuild its database after u remove it, then reinsert it. the system will likely rebuild the database after you've removed the sd2vita, but don't worry. if it doesn't allow u to format it, set the memory card to ux0. since it's a kernel plugin, it should reset to that after resetting the system.

I want to empty the memcard, make it for psp and emulation. Vita games can only go to ur0, so there vita2sd is doing it's job
