All right, I'm bored. I just want to talk a little bit lol.

*To not spoiler other users, please put the game, and use the spoiler flag!!

Anyway, I'm going to start.

Saddest Ending I've seen; Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time & Darkness
Why?
Some of the parts of the story ar sad and are shocking too. Like when Chatot doesn't trust you when you said you got attacked by Team Skull in Apple Woods, and he doesn't let you have dinner at night. And he says to you have no chance to go to the Expedition because you failed to an important mission. Or when Dusknoir is helping you, even he looks like good Pokémon, but guess what? He's bad after all. And after all the good things he did you you, he will still be bad in secret and you need to fight him. After that, he says if you're going to rescue the time, you will dissapear. After you defeat corrupted Dialga, you start to dissapearing, and you partner doesn't want to leave you, It's sad. I need to say I cried a lot when I finished this game. The good part is you come back with you partner again. But after a lot of months.

uh, anyway, that's the saddest ending I've seen on a videogame. I must admit I cried like a baby like 3 months. (yeeep! that's a lot.)

uh, another saddest ending?

Final Fantasy XIII-2 .. That ending was really sad :(

Crisis Core. It's the only game to make me cry, and not just the "sorta misty" cry, I mean the "literal fountains from my twisted face", cry.
I never actually finished that game. It honestly deserves a console remake (which I expect, after FFVII remake).

I should start that game again..

I was about to mention PMD, but it was stated in OP :P

The end of To The Moon did touch me, too.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 .. That ending was really sad
Oh dang, I remember this one. Noel's desperate cry at the end watered my eyes, even f I played the tough insensitive guy next to my sister :(

There are alot of really sad endings in games. But the Persona 3 Bad ending and True ending really get to me. In the Bad ending you choose to kill Ryoji, a human form of Nyx, which will destroy the world. If the player kills ryoji, everybody forgets about everything they experienced up until then. They continue to live their lives like normal students, and then after they agree to go out for Karaoke the game shows a picture of them singing and the game just goed black and white and ends. The world ended and they didnt notice it. In the True ending, where you choose to keep ryoji alive, you have to fight Nyx. After a really long boss battle the Main Character takes on Nyx by himself. After he uses his last strength to seal Nyx and prevent the end of the world, he keeps on going to school like nothing happened. He promised his friends to be there with him for the graduation. So after it ends, he and Aigis go to the rooftop and he lays down while Aigis talks to him about protecting him and that he must be exhausted. After that the player is forced to sleep. After that his friends come running towards him and then the credits play. The first time that happend I was pretty shocked and it hit me really hard. Another ending that really hits me, although its not really sad, is the ending of Catherine where Vincent doesnt come together Catherine or Katherine. So he decides to bet on a wrestling match with his friends. He wins and uses the won money to make his dream a reality. He went into space to live in a colony. He looks at the space ship fly away and walks into the distance while saying "Why live without doing what you want? Thats just a recipe for a life of misery." That Quote always hits me really hard, and combined with the music, I think its a really heavy scene.

I will have you know that I finished Explorers of the Sky and only cried for 30 minutes.
Fuck, they even hammered it in by having your partner walk alone and breakdown! When they brought back your character, it was legit something I was happy to see. Like after that level of emotional beating, I needed a happy ending!

No video game ending has ever gotten me sad because I always know it's a videogame, so I don't have any attachments to any character, and if a character does die, I always know that character is either a sprite or a model, so it doesn't effect me at all.

Seriously what the fuck was up with that game, like finding out that your mission was actually a suicide mission! Like what the fuck GameFreak and chunsoft, don't you think that's a bit heavy for the target audience of the game? I thought this was a Pokemon game and suddenly I am playing an emotional game where my mission is to die to save the world? I wasn't prepared for this kind of emotional trauma, yet I wish they would use this kind of story writing in the main games.

Sonic Mania because it's ending leads into Sonic Forces /s

I'd say the saddest video game ending I've experienced was Sonic Unleashed with Sonic being saved by Light Gaia and being sealed away forever

Btw How can I add spoiler tags? I dunno how >.>
