best thing gateway could have done was release a SDK, and let other people take over. people would have been like huh, gateway is trying a bit. lets recommend them if you want .3ds file drop and play or cheats or what ever.

Well, the only selling point worth noting was the quick 3DS to DS mode flashcart switching, and I'm not entirely convinced that it wasn't sped up.
Is this unique, or is it the same method the DStwo uses to switch modes? I was under the impression that the DStwo needed to boot into the Gateway menu to switch modes.

Probably. But what difference does that make? Unless you provide a b9s installation service, you're only going to need to flash it for ntrboothax once.
Supercard don't have a monopoly on the DS Alex Rider exploit. Most flashcart companies used the same DS header at the same time.

If supercard has a way to use cfw that would be nice. Their card was basically a all in one. I never used the 3ds feature before it was announced that gateways loader could brick the 3ds, so I never got a chance to use the 3ds feature. I still have my supercard in my 3ds. Unless I'm wrong but at this moment supercard has the best working gba on the 3ds, tempgba."competitor"
Clone actually, supercard used their Launcher, when Gateway updated their Launcher to brick DSTWO+ flashcard, supercard didn't tested it and got their users bricked.
And yeah Gateway are so godamn slow to update and even to steal stuff, even to update stolen stuff

If nothing else, the need to speed up the video at multiple points in time raised a few redflags for me.

the NDS mode GUI doesn't look that nice, but I must admit the way to choose .3ds rom from the NDS mode is awesome.
If they could also add support for this card in the Gateway's launcher.dat it would be nice.

Can't believe they get rid of the game selection menu, which they bragged a lot about how their card was superior than sky3ds in the past. Yes, selecting game from DS mode is better than button only but it's still slower. At least users don't need to rely on their update whenever home menu get updated in the future. Nobody knows if ninty will suddenly drop something two years after 3ds's lifespan like what they did with DSi.
For all we know, this is Gateway 2.0.

An interesting note, looking them up now reveals that they updated the contacted information. Unfortunately they were stupid enough to email everyone on the Gateway mailing list advertising for this cart, which of course blew their cover again.
The only person who claimed it wasn't the Gateway team was garyopa, who quite honestly is an extremely shady character. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if he actually works with the Gateway team or is getting some kind of profit from them.

On the official(?) GW forum, I believe GaryOpa himself said that the SG team comprised (ex) Sky3DS members and GW's sales team or something to that effect. Having said that, he also said a lot of other things, some of which were conflicting so I always take them with a truckload of salt.

So I have a few questions for you that have been bothering me.
First, why did you lie to the community and claim the Gateway team wasn't behind this cart? You even said,

But we were able to quickly find that the Gateway sales email was registered to this site and I am pretty sure you knew this, considering your previous comment said that you were in contact with them. Why did you lie? What possible reason is there to hide this from us? What would you have gained from such an obvious and easy to crack lie? Hell, they even blew their cover recently by emailing everyone on the Gateway email list, how do you explain that?
You also seem to be one of the few people getting information from the Gateway team, in fact several pieces of information have only been shared with you, but none of their emailed subscribers. Seems rather odd for them to keep in contact with only you if they are trying to spread their work to as many people possible.
It seems rather odd to me that you seem to have all of this information and that you are always covering for the Gateway team as well. You seem to always be talking to them and reassuring the public that there's some new update only a few days away. One would think the amount of times that hasn't come true you would start to crack a little, yet you still continue defend them. It's almost like you have something to gain by covering for them.
I don't trust him and quite honestly I feel like he has a lot to explain for.
