Meh, I mean... that's your opinion. I've found it fairly mediocre. I have many hours in and have beaten it AND am on a second playthrough. There were MANY better Zelda games.

From what I understand there are no hacking benefits to 2.2.0 vs. 3.0.0. One other factor that you may want to consider is that it is possible that we'll be stuck on an old firmware post-hack, and that our switches may only be usable to play games that came out in the first 6 months of 2017. I'm not saying this is likely, but it's possible. Above on this thread it was pointed out that there are already games that are not playable on 2.2.0 (Splatoon 2 apparently) and I'm sure most new games from now on will require a more up to date firmware. Hence my question at the start of the thread, if it is possible to upgrade to 3.0.0 to make those games accessible now, and also for certain in the future. It'd be nice to play Mario Odyssey if that requires 3.0.0 for example.
I suspect it is not possible to upgrade only to 3.0.0 and the only way to upgrade is to connect to the Ninty servers, but that'll just give you the dreaded 3.0.2. But you don't have that problem because you already have a lucky 3.0.0 console!
Of course it could be that future Switch exploits allow one to upgrade one's firmware while keeping homebrew, who knows? It happened on 3DS for sure, but I don't know enough about the technical side to know if this is likely on Switch.

Some cartridges still contain system updates right?

Maybe some game down the line will make it easy to update to 3.0.0... hopefully Odyssey! xD

New limited edition bundle of the switch that comes with it makes me drool. Not a fan of the colours of the Joycons that come with the other base switches. They seem to have got things right with this one.

A related question is: will I be able to connect to another switch wirelessly? I think some games such as NBA2K18 will allow this, but I wonder if they need to be on the same firmware. I just don't know if I'm missing anything by not upgrading, other than of course eShop games and online play.

I'm tempted to buy Zelda but I hate that we can't update games without updating the console too, I have read that with the update patch Zelda is more fluid and better overall, and I also want to play the dlcs. So I think I'll wait hoping that we will be able to update games and have dlcs too with the new hack.
