hey guys i have a working vita (PCH-1003 europe version on 3.60 enso) and im interested in switching out the motherboard for a 3g motherboard on 3.60 to use with a PS Vita 3G to microSD card adapter, i heard it was possible to do that but the only ones i can find for sale say usa version does it matter?
if it doesnt is there anyway i can then convert it back to europe thanks.

I am in a similiar Situation:
PCH-1004 with 3.60 Enso and not booting :P
and I will soon buy one of these 25€ 3G Motherboards on Ebay (USA Version)
I am thinking about this one...

I will post if I had success with this or if I wasted 25€ (hopefully not because the next thing would be buying the 3G Adapter)

All known Vita games are region free (so are all PSP ones and all but 2 PS3 ones), all languages are included, and the boards are physically the same

Nobody developed a region spoof plugin AFAIK

3G vs Wifi have a slightly different shape, but the case can be "corrected"

thanks for the info guys, i will either just use the motherboard or i will desolder the 3g connector and solder it onto my motherboard since it has the pins just no connector.

use the first method because the soldering method doesn't work because software prevents the Modem from being used when I am correct you need a 3g board.!

do you know what the difference between the boards are because it has the pins so im assuming to get it working it may just be a matter of installing the update again so it detects it and installs whats needed but thats just a guess

The controller boards fit perfectly, but you need to mod the back case to allow to close the Vita. Or you could just use an original back case from a 3G Vita, and you're done. That's how I have my 3G Vita.
Now I just need to get a charger connector to replace it, as mine is damaged.

As for the region, it really doesn't matter, if you would like to set it up on a different language you'll need to reset the Vita to its default settings (system format).

It's better to get a 3G board than trying to install a modem into a non 3G board.

The Vita is region free, it doesn't have different firmwares for different regions.

The only region locking the Vita has is in regards to the PSN account setup on the Vita, but that's account based, and has nothing to do with the system firmware itself.

I'm saying there is no Europe or USA 3.60, there's just one 3.60 firmware.
