Hey guys, new user here.

So I downloaded plenty of games with the help of Wii U Helper, and installed all of them successfully. However, when I go to unlock Wii U Sports Club by installing the DLC through WUP Installer GX2, I get the following:

Verify WUP files are correct & complete. DLC/E-Shop require sig patch.

WTF do I need to do to get the games in Sports to work?

Is it worth doing something like this? I have just hit the tip of modding/hacking on my Wii U, and dont wanna chance bricking it so soon.
I wouldn't stress about it. It's easy.

Change sd:\hacxhi\config.txt file to look like this

a=fw.img
b=default=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf
default=sysmenu

Then reinstall HaxChi over the top of itself. Now every time you tap HaxChi you are in CFW.

After tapping it the first time tap it again this time holding b to get to HBL.

Every time you want to play your game with DLC you'll have to tap HaxChi first. Unless you install CBHC. Which I think you should

Awesome info man, appreciate it. I dont have HadChi, I think I have to buy a DS game right? I know I can google this stuff day in and day out, but you guys are pretty straight forward with giving the low down and best advice, so I appreciate it.

Yes HaxChi and CBHC require that you purchase one legit DS game on the list. If you don't want to buy a DS game you can try using Mocha but you'll have to keep using the browserhax over and over again. Every time you want to play your dlc

How complicated is CBHC and HaxChi, and what happens when there is a system update?

This is a present for my daughter for her b-day, and I would like to get as many games as I can and NOT brick it or make it too complicated for her to boot up and use :)

By the way, awesome guides in your sig. Gonna try them out now.

Not any more complicated than any other hack. In this last update it was CBHC and HaxChi that saved most people when browserhax got patched

Thanks a ton man. Here is my issue. I have 32GB onboard memory and am installing stuff on external, and do not have a 64GB SD card to perform a backup :(

Then just at least backup seeprom and opt.bin

Is that anywhere in your guides, to just backup those? And will that save me from bricking?

I have jailbroken iphones, rooted androids both for years without bricking anything, but I feel it may be catching up to me.....

    I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.

    Hope you've had a good morning.

    It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

    There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.

    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

    That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

    @Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    Man, that's beyond my brain :rofl: I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

    Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
    Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
