first of all... 3 + 14 seeds is not a "bunch"
second, no human was ever going to touch the database (or its content in any form), so it would be impossible to post it anywhere, since only data marked explicitly as public was able to be downloaded, and only the LocalFriendCodeSeed part of it was served, so ye...
Out of curiosity, how many people even used any version of UnbanMii? I only heard about it today through this malware news, and as far as unbanning, the most talked about route was method 2 in the OP.

It became a thing once Nintendo started banning public seeds from the chaos site not too long ago. (like last week I think) Then the op sudjested it as a new backup plan and added it to the guide,so people started downloading it,promoting it and using it.

I genuinely at this point believe that this was a severly misguided mistake for all parties involved and that it might just be time for all of us to move on. UnbanMii is dead anyway, and there is no use beating a dead horse. Practice caution around closed source software, and if you don't trust it, don't use it until someone who is more experienced than you has given it the go ahead.

So only those that used 2.0 got their shit leaked.
Not too sure if it'll be worth it as the reputation is now ruined...it would be nice if we had unbanmii or another method that was open source that was safe, but either decision I am sure people would be fine with it.

Intent is largely irrelevant, you led people to believe that they would only be sharing data if they elected to do so, when in reality you took this information regardless. You harvested identifying personal user data without consent, it's malware. Period.

Like I said before intent doesn't matter. The program was by definition malware, there is no way around that.
Yes you owned up to it, but I personally wouldn't trust any of you because I highly doubt this would have come to light on your own merit. I believe from the way Paul/Alex specifically handled the situation they were not planning to tell anyone and were harvesting personal data on purpose to use later. I have to ask myself, what's the point in verifying information being sent to the unbanmii server when seeds are universal. There is absolutely nothing that needs to be verified before any random LFCS_B can be injected.
Honestly what if no one caught this and they ended up collecting hundreds of them, banned and unbanned alike. And started selling YOUR private seed to some randoms on the internet because you were nice enough to use UnbanMii for a friend or something.
Lesson learned. Think I'll just use open source projects from now on, or stop using automatic programs altogether if I can do it manually. Reputation is hard to gain and really easy to lose.

Should I be worried about getting banned? I only did this to replace my private seed with a public one.

How are you sure that only people who used 2.0 got their "shit" leaked?
If the devs are 100% being truthful about deleting the data, then I wouldn't worry about it. Honestly, I don't know them so I can't speak on their integrity.
