8 Bitdo is doing a stellar job releasing high quality controllers and this time around it will have shoulder and digital triggers separated rather than merged on the same end. :)

I've been waiting for this, SNES is my favorite console of all time.
But I'm not sure I like how there's a bezel around the sticks, it kind of ruins the look.
Still looks like a pretty good gamepad, I already have a NES30 Pro so I'm not sure I will be getting this, but maybe.
I wish they would have announced it before I got the NES30 Pro.

Oh, I saw it on Amazon which was previously without any pics before. No price on it, though.

A bit annoyed that the Switch has such a long pile of controllers now. If only I'd knew this would happen I wouldn't have bothered with the Switch Pro Controller.

I just got a Switch Pro Controller actually, and I still don't regret it. It's a really nice controller and most of the alternatives don't have the motion controls for Splatoon.
Edit: Specifically, I got this one:

It's really sexy.

i'd expect a $49.99 MSRP and november release date
the only thing they've said officially is slightly more expensive than nes30pro and holiday release date

Warning for those interested in 8bitdos:
Some controllers has problems connecting with first party Nintendo controllers.
When I connect my 8bitdo's with Joycon's, they have unplayable input delay. I have created a Reddit thread about this and there are some users that have the same issue. This is also an issue when it's connected to Nintendo pro controllers. I have not experienced this myself since I do not own Nintendo pro controllers but some Reddit users has reported this.
This doesn't appear to be an issue when I connect joycons + 8bitdo's to PC. I have two Switch's and they both have this issue.
I also have NES30 Pro and FC30 Pro controllers, they both do this.

I've messaged 8bitdo on their FB page and they have acknowledged this problem. They said their IT team is working on it. I do occasionally message them for any updates but there has been no progress so far (since a month ago).
They do respond quickly though.
If they release this and they're still on 4.0 firmware, just be warned.

I have nothing against 8bitdo. In fact, I love the controllers.
Works great on PC. Bluetooth + X-input on PC is wonky so use their program to emulate D-input to X-input. Steam natively does this now I think.
Works great on Android. I even bought the mount to hold my phone + controller for it. No noticeable input lag for me.
Works great on Switch, if 8bitdos are the only thing you connected. Tetris just doesn't feel right without a proper D-pad.
They're great when they work.
Quality wise, I worry the rubber membranes for the buttons will wear out. I've own it for a few months now and they're still holding up fine though.

I don't really have any comfort issues besides getting used to the triggers. The SNES Pro controller looks more comfortable. It seems to be wider with bigger analog sticks. Hopefully there would be more travel on them. NES30 Pro Analogs have very little travel to them so they're more sensitive compared to normal controllers.
The buttons looks to be also angled like a normal SNES controller. The NES Pro controllers are "squared" like a dualshock controller.

Actually, that's a trend wih every single USB N64 controller on the market, they all have a problem with their analog sticks (you can't control how much you push it - it's all or nothing)
Guess they do what Nintendon't. Get the friggin'fell rigt! just ask Ben how it's done:

Controller in the OP is 'neat' looking in a nostalgia-inducing kind of way, but honestly even being an oldtimer, if I'm not using an original controller just for the authentic experience that goes with it (which means I'm also likely playing on the original console that it belongs to), I'll take Nintendo's modern controllers. In particular on that SNES style 8bitdo thing, I would miss the 'wing' grips dearly. The Switch Pro controller might be my favorite controller of all time, over all past systems> I'm liking it even more than the Gamecube controller, which is something I thought I'd never, ever say. The only aspect of the Switch controller I'm still iffy about is the d-pad, and that's because it is rather tall and quite stiff. But I have a feeling that after about 500 hours of use, it'll be just right for another 10,000.

I was on the hype wagon for NES 30 PRO and bought it.
Its absolute crap. Latency issues, connectivity issues (god this is horrible really) and buttons that I cannot map for unknown reason. No software to help myself whatsoever since they decided to remove them. (iOS)
Im so unsatisfied I cannot describe it with words, especially since a lot of people recommended it for iOS emulators

I literally went and repaired my DS3 and so I can play my emulators on phone again.
And their support sucks big time, be warned!

Edit: Screw that, support is nonexistant.

this isn't just another generic bluetooth controller it was designed specifically for the nintendo switch it has motion controls and switch specific buttons it should be legit.
