Although I'm looking forward to this, after a week of having a vita I was over it... just not enough games I like on it (for 3.60 and below anyway) :(
"(for 3.60 and below anyway)" - are you implying that there is a version restriction? Because there's not. 3.60 can play all vita games.

had this in the back of my mind, nice to realize how close it is now :)

vita just collects dust at this point though...i hate that you can't update pirated copies so i kinda just stopped. only thing i ever really wanted is the pro yakyu games for it.

and totally forgot i have a pstv lol only 4gb on that thing though i suppose i could use USB storage...dang im out of the loop in the psv scene
Can't update pirated copies? Wrong. You can with the MaiDump tool. Or are you unfamiliar with that?

A vita on 3.60 cannot play all vita games (Currently), it can only play games that require 3.60 or below. Games that require 3.61+ (Games made after about the End of September) Cannot be played on Henkaku

Can you give me some examples of games that won't work? I've installed like 300 games on my PSTV and I tested about half of them, but it got tedious. This is news to me because everything I've read indicates all games run. Damn.

There's actually a list if you google it (Can't link it cause of gbatemp's rules, just type in "henkaku games that require 3.61") but one game is Shantae: Half-Genie Hero

Thanks, I found a reddit post regarding this. Damn. You'd think with all that I'd read and the videos I've watched, someone would have mentioned it. Well...I guess it's kind of a buzzkill, so we should focus on the good news: the fact that we can play game dumps at all.

I hope they're able to crack this thing further so maybe we can sign our own software or something. Like how they did on PS3.

People (people with hope or baseless accusations lol) speculate that Enzo will open a door to cracking it, But I really lowered my expectation for that, considering they said it wouldn't be anything like that

From an optimistic standpoint, if we see a coldboot hack like what is being proposed, maybe some other talented hackers will be encouraged to work more on the Vita. *crosses fingers*
God, I wish I had the patience to learn coding. I would so be chipping away at this stuff.

I'm pretty optimistic, I just don't wanna be disappointed when it comes years later like it would've been even if we didn't have Enzo. I also wish I know coding, but I will soon

so u think you could use the micropsvitasdcard and the adapter with a microsdcard? :O

You can use the SD2Vita as uma0:/ (Gamecard memory) and use the normal vita memory card as memory or you could use it as ux0:/, which eliminates the need for the vita memory card.

Edit: if you chose to use the SD2Vita as ux0:/ you can no longer use the vita memorycard as normally that's bound to ux0:/

Cool. Good luck, dude. The more coders the better :)

Are you sure it removes the normal vita memory card after mounting adapter to ux0:/???
Your post drove me to look into it. I'm pretty new to vita scene, and I'm much more familiar with 3DS.
Aurora has a good write-up about it. http://wololo.net/2017/07/25/review-sridents-sd2vita-adapter-psvita/

Here are the key portions related to mounting of drives:
Those who opt to use the adapter as ux0: will have their Vita memory card mounted as uma0:
My microSD card mounted as uma0:
For those opting to use their microSD as ux0:, I recommend you copy your tai folder to ur0: but in my case, using ux0:tai worked as I’m using my adapter as uma0:

I also tried using the adapter as ux0 by copying some folders over from my Vita memory card and stuff seemed to work just fine too. Age of Zombies, an official game, worked just fine off the SD2Vita adapter and I couldn’t spot any longer loading times. Adrenaline also worked just fine (I copied the adrenaline folder to ur0 and the microSD so that there aren’t any path changes when adrenaline.skprx is initially loaded, I changed the adrenaline plugin path to ur0 too in config.txt). mGBA, an emulator, also worked well. Make sure check your file paths in taiHEN’s config.txt and have all your plugins in ur0: since path changes will not let taiHEN start up properly. It’s not recommended you only copy parts of the Vita memory card to the microSD adapter as you’ll just be asking for trouble especially if you forget VitaShell. Either copy the whole Vita memory card to your microSD or don’t do it at all. HENkaku R6 can get you out of any bad situations as it doesn’t use taiHEN’s plugin folder.

Also a good suggestion from Aurora. She stated:
On the software side of things, I would also like to see some utility (a la Applications Storage Manager but for uma0) that lets you move applications from ux0: to uma0: or the other way round to cater for those that don’t have a microSD card larger than their Vita memory card or simply want to use their Vita memory card for some reason.

I'm a long-time lurker and I respect your posts. And again, I'm new to the Vita scene so please correct me if I'm wrong.
