The Xbox One scene has emulators galore but one thing we have been missing is a decent media player. Well, I'm proud to announce that we now have a fully working and fully functional media player for dev mode. Meet 10 Player a fully functional media player that has support for several codecs including MKV,AVI,FLV,MP4,3gp, and many more. It also features built-in support for subtitles.

This looks pretty nice! sideloading right now.

A media player has been needed for awhile to really make dev mode useable for more than just emulation and homebrew. This is actually the first time this application has been made available for Xbox One. Previously it was only available for Phone and PC

My goal of my Xbox One retiring my (original) Xbox one is one step closer now. Thanks for trying this out and letting everyone know of it!

I won't be able to try it out until late tomorrow. So I was wondering from anyone that does try, are network folders supported and working fine? Thanks.

I actually posted not one, not two but three different video and audio player in this topic.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/xbox-one-apps-possible-with-the-dev-mode.469155/

namely, CCPLayer 2016, ACG player, Parma Video Player 2.2.132

Why not point to that and open a new one?
This is what discourages new dev mode users!
You are making it too complicated for the end users, just too gain some reps in a forum!
sad, I mean sad..

what the heck? ok ok.
1: Ok... fine! the more homebrew the better right? whats wrong with having another media player?
2: maybe he forgot about that post you made.
3: If anything id say hes streamlining it for the end user. it couldn't be easier. hes got a tutorial written out for every step of the way.
4: to*
5: Uhm, who said he did it just to gain rep on a forum? rep barely matters here! He just wants to see the scene expand and grow and make sure that people can get these apps easily and for free.

I am sorry
maybe I was a little bit off.
But newer dev mode users shouldnt be discouraged by making it too hard to install various software via zillions of topics.
We have to keep it simple, this is what I am saying.

one topic-for apps.
one topic-for each emulators.

Each additional topics makes it difficult to keep up for new users.

I didnt wanna offend anyone.

ok fine, but there isnt a zillion topics. Its impossible to keep everything on the same page. Plus, it will be a huge hassle to request help on the topic, since there will be some people asking about one app, others asking about a different app. Its neccesary to keep different topics for each homebrew app. The 3DS and Wii U are doing it fine, why not the Xbox? If you really think its confusing, if and when we finally get a homebrew section you can make a noob-paradise type deal like the 3DS has.

this is why when i make videos i point them to my forums instead of here its alot less confusing and easy to find stuff

i think its to late here to keep things tidy unless we can get stickys and delete the old topics

I created Project Peagasus for exactly that reason :) I knew as the scene got bigger and started to expand we would need a client whereby the user could easily download homebrew and not have to scathe the forums of the internet to find stuff.

Ummm... you do realize we have a client that I wrote that organizes every major homebrew app/emulator ?

So I dunno what your on about, on how its "too hard for the user" actually it's easier than it's ever been

How is this media app better then official media player (in retail mode)?

My answer to you is, if you're satisifed with having to switch back and forth from dev mode to retail mode every time you wanna watch a movie than you can continue to do so. But the rest of us will have the convince of having a media player already in dev mode :)
