There is no B batch at my local shopping store, exchanged for 3 different controllers but all of them still have an issue with the d-pad input. It might be that why they're making a discount of 50% on the price for the black one LOL

I really hate the DPAD on the Pro Controller.
The lack of a pivot point is a testament to Nintendo being cheap.
If you don't have a pivot the DPAD is flimsy, you are supposed to be able to pivot around the center to make Us and whatever.
The DPAD shouldn't go down if you press it in the center, it should be unpushable from there, i.e. pivot point.
As it is on mine, if you press it in the center it goes down and pushes all four directions at the same time (cheaaaaaaaap as fuck).

Is this problem solved in revision B?

I can confirm the new batch doesn't fix the problem, D-Pad on the pro controller is just designed horribly. Never felt so ripped off buying a nintendo product.

Thankfully, there is a complicated albeit doable fix. http://imgur.com/gallery/Jruwv#kFMr6Ee

If you're buying a controller for a dpad, don't get this overpriced garbage,The 8 bit-do controllers are significantly better for this.

After trying 3 different OG Pro Controllers with the same DPAD issue and L R pressure issue, I ended up with Splatoon 2 Pro Controller, everything goes okay so far, fixes everything. $30 more but it's worth it.

Nintendo Australia acknowledges the issue as defective circuit board and happy to fix but it costs 2 weeks.

I just got a Splatoon 2 controller. Has a shit D-pad and a pressure issue with the R button.

Nice.
Dayum!
I was hoping the problem was consistently solved in all Inkling Pro Cons already...
I am not going to play Russian Roulette and buy another one again to see if I happen to get lucky.

After testing the controller a bit more, I think it might be fixed to some degree. I read about the issue a bit more and in some cases the d-pad registered up or down movement from simply pressing left or right. My d-pad doesn't do that but I can output up and down movement by pressing my thumb on the right and pushing to the sides. I still think the D-pad is way too shitty for a 80ish dollar controller.

R button is definitely an issue though. There's way to much of a "fleeting point" between when the button clicks and when it actually registers. In Zelda, if I press R to get a throw ready and then slightly nudge the finger Link prematurely throws the item.
