I tried running this on my old Nintendo 3DS with Luma 8.1 (most up to date version at my time of writing this), Boot9strap, and Homebrew Launcher v2.0 and kept getting freezes when trying to change the IP or port when testing out both v0.5.1 and v0.5a. Whenever I'd enter anything different from the numbers already in either the IP or port box and hit okay or cancel, it would stay the same numbers as what was already written in the box and would freeze up 9 times out of 10 for both versions and I ended up having no other option but hard resetting by holding the power button.
I first tried using v0.5.1 for server and client. My first go opening the app I forgot to change the IP and hit connect right away and it looked like it said connecting to server and the red bar under connecting moved a little and then froze. I wasn't able to do anything and had to hard reset with the power button. After a couple gos after that, it froze and I was able to hit the home button and close the software (Although very slowly and laggy), and after repeated failures and having hard reset as my only option, I tried v0.5a both for server and client and still got nowhere. Freezes and hard resets for days. I then tried the cia by
@3dslove79 all to experience the same issues. Every 3DS client I used said v0.4 - alpha even though I downloaded them thinking they were v0.5+?
I also want to note that when I ran the server, I only got one option to use as an IP, although I didn't get to test if it connected to that one anyway because of all the app freezing. Are you supposed to get a bigger list to choose from? My PC runs Windows 10 and has a wired connection to my router. No idea if any of that would be why I'm only getting one IP to use, what dictates how many IPs you can use for the server? I have no idea if that is a noob question so I apologize.
This is a really cool idea and I'm looking to use it to stream and play Breath of the Wild or Twilight Princess through emulators. Possibly some more games, but I especially like playing my Zelda games more portably and comfortably since I play them for only about 10 hours straight when I get addicted and attached to them. I'd love to be able to play them on my 3DS from time to time compared to sitting at my computer desk for hours on end in a crappy and uncomfortable computer chair. I know that probably makes me sound like a lazy bum, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who would want to use this for similar reasons (at least I hope). xD
