35MB Download is fine. You don't need much for a game console. Besides you should have at least 10MB upload/download for online games. (Assuming is stable) having higher download speed just makes your eshop downloads faster and "ONLY IF" you had other apps like web browsing, and youtube, crunchyroll, netflix, hulu, amazon, etc. Is not much but faster game downloads. As long as you have stable internet speed above 15MB then is okay for the most part.

I have 5 MB download and 1 MB upload,no problem whatsoever :rofl2:
My router has a bandwidth control (to see the traffic)its says splatoon 2 consumes around 300 KB/s and 500 KB/s both download and upload,so to play smooth the minimum is 1 MB download/upload I guess.

Can anyone advice me on the best control method setup for Spaltoon 2? I never played the first one so I'm finding it really difficult. I've turned the motion controls off because that's even worse having to keep pressing Y to bring the screen back in line so using it with the R stick is a bit better but shooting and getting your target straight is really quite annoying, it always seems to be difficult to shoot at your target quickly and I need to keep hesitating on my controls to get the player to shoot straight so if someone can help me out I would appreciate that.

Not really the thread for it, this thread is about servers, not control schemes.

Each game has it own requirements of internet speed.

That's what I have them set on now I probably just need some good practice then.

You suggest then I open a whole unnecessary separate thread, just asking about best control methods.. its all Splatoon related here so why not ;)

The 0 sensitivity setting works well for me, any more than that and I find myself passing by enemies too quickly with my reticule. Get good with the splattershot or tentatek splattershot first and then branch out, they're probably the best all-around weapons.

I am using the LAN adapter I bought for my original Wii with the Switch dock, and my NAT type is "Type A" because I gave it open access under DMZ in DD-WRT. Zero disconnects, no lag, and only two times not finding enough players for a turf Wars match. My internet speed is 230Mb/s down, and 15 up with a ping of 9. No issues here.

And I'm looking into buying this to upgrade it. I have the USB 2.0 10/100 version of it now.

I still have that Buffalo Wi-Fi adapter for the NDS and Wii, it only works in Linux and 32-bit versions of Windows XP/Vista/7 with a modified, unsigned driver if you're looking to use it as a standard Wi-Fi dongle.

This is what I'm currentely using on my Switch:

You think if we ask in a thread, that someone could maybe make a driver work for modern OS? Cause It would be nice to have PC speed wifi on all system, even use 3DS to play NDS online again without dumb work arounds. :)

It's capped at Wireless G 54 speeds, so not really ideal these days, haha!

Maybe not but least NDS can be used online without that dumb WEP security no one uses... What you mean wireless G 54 speed? the speed seem like enough for the game consoles that supports it.
Oh yes, it's plenty for Wii and NDS for sure. Probably 3DS too.

I use a Pro Controller for Splatoon 2 and have the sensitivity for motion controls turned all the way down (minus 5) plus the sensitivity for the right analog stick turned down by one (minus 1) but lately I've turned off motion controls completely and I'm doing pretty well while still keeping the right analog stick turned down by one.

I also have (HD) Rumble turned off from the settings menu (affects all games), I have previous Gears of War series and other 3rd person shooter experience (which helps) plus my TV has virtually no ghosting (motion blur) and very little input lag.

The only thing I can really improve is to go wired for my Switch's internet connection while using OpenDNS and Google's DNS servers, I don't plan on getting a headset for the Switch though because of the clumsy setup.
