Hi,
I have successfully dumped MLC and SLC of a Kiosk unit via hardmod. While desoldering the wires from the TSOP I didn't notice some wires where still on the board. So I ripped of the metal track of IO0 off the board and removed the pads of IO2. I have bridged the TSOP IC directly to the solder points beneath the CPU but the Wii U still refuses to power on (LED stays red). So I'm clueless what to do. (blame on me for this stupidity lol)
So now I can't install CAT-R menu to it to exploit its webbrowser.
Now I'm wondering if there is any possibility to get otp off the dumps or extract the dumps anyways

Sounds like we must be related cause that sounds just like something I would do. Sorry to hear about your misfortune, wish I could help.

Maybe post some close up pictures, and someone else may see something you missed?

1: pointing track
2: IO0 where it relates to
3: missing pads and track of IO2

Soldered IO2 on the 7th pin of the right bottom of the TSOP. IO0 to the 5th of the bottom. Signals seem to pass through.

I think I may see 2 things right away, may be wrong though.

1.) In the lower left corner of the first picture is a chip. It looks like you may have a tiny solder ball shorting out pins 12 - 13. Doesn't matter if you count from top to bottom, or bottom to top. Its in the middle.

2.) In the second picture you have a pad labeled ( io2 ). It looks like you may have another trace broke 3 pads up.

PS: It also looks like you have a large bead loosely bonded to a large pad labeled TP163 ( The grey wire is running above it ). Its not where it could be causing any problems, but if you do manage to get that Wii U working again that chunk may become loose and cause problems later.

Hopefully its one of those 2 things. If not hopefully someone else will see something.

How about you actually try to help instead of being a douche?
LMFAO! Yeah, and name calling is really helping out, right?

He ruined it. Plain and simple. Can't help fix damage like that. I can't fix physical damage over the internet. Can't reverse time. All I can do is invoke Captain Hindsight.

regarding the op, afaik, there's no way to get the otp from a hardmod. the otp is meant to decrypt the NAND, so u need a working NAND to grab it. @Kafluke 's guide mentions this. the otp is only needed if u have to decrypt the NAND (i.e. a cbhc brick with no NAND backup).

Which means we need to repair the Wii U :P

Holy christ. I don't think you have any business using a soldering iron.

CosmoCortney has contributed, she has helped many others with their endeavors, and others have helped her. What have you done DeadlyFoez? Show some respect, first you should capitalize Christ and second try to help her, it may not be ruined.

@CosmoCortney Earlier I posted a few things I saw, I would suggest looking over the board really well for loose solder and remove it all. I know solder claims to have a "rosin core", but I would highly recommend buying some actual flux and use a little of it at each solder joint. Then get some finely stranded wire, strip it, twist it, dip it in the flux. Put the wire on the joint and heat it with the soldering iron / gun to wick the extra solder onto the wire to clean the board up. From my experience ( very little ) using flux makes a night and day difference.

Also, it looks like you may have the (R46) and (R154 ) bridged. I feel stupid telling you this, and please don't take it as an insult because I'm sure you know this, but it looks like there are missing resistors, they will all need put back if they were taken off. If they were all just solder pads then ok.

If you don't know who I am and how much I have greatly contributed to the community then feel free to do a little looking around. Otherwise quit being an asshole.

" Don't answer a fool according to his foolishness or you'll be like him yourself. Answer a fool according to his foolishness or he'll become wise in his own eyes. " Proverbs 26 4-5.

Just curious, where was I an asshole? Did I call you a name? Was I rude? I merely confronted you as being a bully and you seem to of gotten all butthurt over it. I'm sorry if I butthurt you. Anyhow, after this post you have two ways to go:

1.) Apologize, and show your a man
2.) Talk tough, and show your a fool

I have a feeling I know what you will choose, so I'm going to drop this here, lest I myself become a fool ( my quote from above ).

EDIT : Did some looking around, didn't find much. By the way, in the thread http://gbatemp.net/threads/successfully-dumped-wiiu-emmc-nand-with-hardmod.457165/ you said " back in the day ", and I wouldn't be surprised if you were a co-worker of mine that says that all the time. See, he to thinks very highly of himself, and very little of others. He to had done LOTS of great things " back in the day ", but for some reason has lost all his skill at everything he does.

Anyhow, CosmoCortney I found the picture I was looking for of the board. Its one Leeful posted in the thread I linked, and I see there are no resistors in that location, so I highly recommend cleaning some of the solder off.

However, that is not part of this thread. How about you leave things in their relevant scene?

Agreed, however due to your action, no one is gonna take your word seriously.
I'll help in the Wii U scene, as I already have with my own MITM tutorials :3
Anyway, back to the topic on hand; Courtney thank goodness this is your not-so-important Kiosk
