So, I was trying to repair a friend's old 3DS XL. The hinge part was broken so I had to order new hinge parts and I ran into an issue trying to reassemble the system.
I would try to get the hinge parts in and I ran into the issue of trying to push the hinge pin itself back into "mechanism" part if that makes sense. It will go halfway in and no matter how much force we put into it, it won't go in completely.
I tried taking it all out to try outside the case and the hinge pin would go in the mechanism part, which was strange since it wouldn't do it if it was in the housing.
I'm just wondering what I could be doing wrong because it's kind of frustrating to have this reassembly halted due to this hinge not assembling incorrectly.
If anyone knows what I could do, I'd appreciate whatever help I could get.
