Hacking Nintendont

well i put that "controller.ini" into the root of my SD & USB but alas no Joy ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but still im happy enough playin some of my old GC games ... do u always have to turn off the wii to change games? i know the button combo to Reset the game .... would be nice if i could just quick switch them

Nintendont was originally intended to be a secondary loader launched from a Wii loader. If you use something like USB Loader GX when you exit the game with the button combo it will return to the Wii loader. Returning to another loader only takes about a second.

yeah i have usbloaderGX & i set the paths ect ... shows covers ect .. looks groovy but it wont load the games .. ehh lemme try it now & and ile tell u what it says ....

nintendont requires AHB access! please launch UsbloaderGX from HBC or from an updated channel or forwarder

been searching the internet ... some people suggest to update usbloader others say update nintendont ... but it seems alot of people had this issue im still stoked it works so well ... but i ive gotta try to get to work thru usbGX just for those sexy covers !! i havent even touch my old wii in about 1 and a half years ... i will try a update on usb loader .. ( when my kids stop playing it now ) probably about a hour ...

What version of USB Loader GX are you using? r1262 is the latest and possibly final version.

Also, make sure the tag "<ahb_access/>" is in its meta.xml file.

r160 its says ...."<ahb_access/>" is in its meta.xml file where might that be ? in sd or in the app folder for usbGX itself ... im gunna grab the new usbloaderGX now ile tell you what happens..

if you have a very old homebrew channel you need to have no ios reload on the xml too.

do u mean the nintendont channel ? its the only one i found... ah it would have been nice to use it with usbGX .. but hey its still working .. Great and my 2 boys have completely jacked the wii .. which was the whole point of this so they are happy.. and one day i will get a wavebird pad and i will sit down and finish MSG the twin snakes .. ( i jus cant enjoy it with the buttons being odd ) been wanting to play that again for a while ... Dolphin is crap on my old laptop .. and i never could get it working on my Nvidia Shield Portable.. & i bet if i did anyways.. it would run like poop

no i mean homebrew channel, some old homebrew channels need another line in the xml no ios reload afaik.

some get inside usbloader xml and nintendont one and see if no ios reload is in there.

oh i see u know what i hacked my wii about 4 years ago i dont think i ever updated the HB channel in all that time how would i go about doing that is it the same as any HB app just find it online and copy to SD?

like i said just go inside nintendont xml and usbloader xml on your sd card see if they have the no ios reload line if they do then its not that, being old doesnt matter as long it has that line in the xml.

okay give me a while once my kids get bored of the wii ( wont take long ) i will give that a shot ... about xml files every time i open one it opens the internet is the normal .. ive never messed with them before

yeah its normal you can see what they say in the browser but you can also change to make them open with notepad.

The theme downloader in USB Loader GX no longer works because spiffy360 requires you have an account to download anything now. If the theme downloader on your version doesn't say it's disabled then you have an old version of it. The full channel version is also not supported anymore. You can identify it by the version number. If it says "3.0c" then it's the full one.

yeah mine has that "3.0c" at start up... shame about the themes ... back 4 years ago i had a all black one ,.,. much nicer .. in our living room we have a 80" tv .. and in the kids room they have a HD projector im guessing 150" covers the whole wall so that white is a little much on the eyes where as black wasnt bad at all..

Cyan made a tutorial on how to replace the full channel with the forwarder channel and dol app. You can still use themes but you have to download them on your PC and copy them to the app folder on your Wii manually.

no the channel is fine i mean when you pick the wii/gc games .. its just a minor niggle but on big screens it just blares my eyes off lol BAAD!! .. still cant touch the wii the boyz are playing GUN a cowboy game ( they love red dead on ps3 anything to do with cowboys and they are nuts for it ) ...

There a lot of bugs fixed and features added since the channel was discontinued. It's probably almost 5 years old.
