What makes the game below so rare and wanted by European (maybe American/Canadian as well) game collectors is that it's said only 12 copies exist and so, the prices, especially of this one are going absurdly high.

I can see why collectors want this game but for £8,300.00? Yikes.

Never knew a sports game to be that pricey.
Then again, collectors will pay everything to have it.
There's apparently 192 copies in existence but only 12 are known in total. So weird that this is worth so much.

You can spend a few weeks (or longer if you spend wisely) anywhere in the world for that money. Only a fucking rich collector would be able to afford that. I'd rather take a holiday than buy that.

9 out of 10 of the people going for this want to sell it for more at a later time.

How bad/good was that game at that time?
It was supposed to be one of the best basketball games for megadrive at the time iirc, can't remember if it was better or worse the other game(s)? in the series but I remember the games for sure and remember thinking it looked good for the time. Bulls v Lakers was the sequel I think.

£9,300.00/$12,252.75. Gotta love how it gained an extra $2,952.75 when getting converted to the american dollar.

That sounds more or less correct based on the current exchange rate... (midmarket rate from XE.com is 1.30271 USD to the pound, making a dollar value of 12,115.16, then obviously PayPal are gonna take their cut on top of that)

It's £9,300 now. Meh, not the most expensive game I've seen on there.
Not the most expensive game in history but probably the most expensive SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis game in history. I've never seen any other SEGA MD/G go for this much.

The buyer will be waiting a while given that eBay takes a giant 10% of the sale price as seller fees + PayPal takes a bit more on top of that.

The seller could at least avoid the Paypal fee but £9k in cash? Just not too often.
