Guys, I want to share with you what I accomplished today and so far very satisfied.

1. You need 2 speakers and woofer from MacBook Pro 13 2010 (other model may feet as well)

After research I can confirm that any speakers with 4-8 ohm resistance will work.
So basically everything what can fit inside with mentioned above resistance will work.

2. Solder everything as it shown on the pictures (left side, counting from top +/-, right side mirroring -/+)

3. Don't expect miracle from default PSV default audio amplifier.
I did my research installing custom audio amplifier

8dcf4092a0227550305cfbdf2e2688fb.jpg

And that was something!!! Power of sound stronger minimum 2 times and the quality much higher. But not easy to DIY for everyone

But still possible!!

If you are interested?? - I can explain How-To

Best possible way with original audio amplifier

But this will be MONO, cause to connect WOOFER without separate channel you need to take "-" from one channel and "+" from other one. Witch will close the loop and cancel STEREO affect.

But if you remove one MacBooks speaker and connect woofer instead you will have stereo affect.
In this case it will look for example:

Left side original PSV speaker + MacBooks speaker

Right side original PSV speaker + MacBooks Woofer

Follow pictures and enjoy

Yeah I would agree, he doesn't "need" to do anything, just because @Simonius007 took the time to share his awesome mod with us doesn't mean he's now obliged to write a full step by step tutorial on how to do it. Take inspiration and figure it out yourself!

Thank you mate.
This is exactly why people stop share and do something for others.
Remember what happened with @qwertyuiop and iOS jailbreak - he lost interest and now everybody sits without jailbreak.
People must learn how to appreciate when someone doing something for them.

Thank you for quality criticism.
It a really pleasure when your post have 1000 views and only 4 feedbacks (3 of them Criticism).
On the other hand I want to share what I invent and did for my own PSV, to encourage others.
But always appear somebody who didn't do nothing and trying not to encourage Author but to put him down and to kill any wish to share...

Don't take it the wrong way - people like it, that's why they clicked on the thread and took the time to comment. They just want a little bit more info to be able to replicate the mod, or just out of curiosity. It's certainly gutsy to open up an expensive device and poke around in it, it deserves praise, but since this is a tutorial, you need to show the process as well. The utility of the mod is pretty high since the Vita's speakers are awful, I'm personally just wondering how much juice it pushes through the audio channels and how big of a speaker it could drive without an amp. It seems that the speakers you used work well, so giving users their values would help out a ton since not everyone has a spare Macbook laying around, but they may have old laptops with similar speakers and could very easily check them with a multimeter for compatibility. Don't get discouraged, this is good stuff! ;)

And what about the battery consumption?
Draining the battery like Adrenaline does or no real change at all?

Battery consumption increased up to 10% on the maximum volume. But it's nothing cause my battery 3000 mAh.
And sound quality way batter

It's really worst it;)
But you should follow my single battery, but not PSV + PSP battery MOD ( 2 batteries with different capacity are crap, where is one overtaking others)

I would think the fact that it was posted in the tutorial section would kind of obligate the poster to write a full step by step tutorial, but maybe that's just me.

That's what makes it a tutorial. We have a separate section for mods showcase, but tutorials are always preferred since they spread the love, allowing others to follow in the footsteps.

Work in progress Brothers ;)
I'm actually looking for a new multimeter for some of my PS4 mods, since standard ones can't handle this much amperage - off the shelf meters are capped at 10A. What's the max on that Excel? I've been looking at a couple since many are basically Fluke rebrands. I'm almost decided on an Amecal, since until now I haven't found any users of Excels to get first-hand experience. I do far more than talking, buddy. ;)

It's in the tutorial section though.
Edit: Ah, others already mentioned it.

20A is perfect, should stand 95W @ 12V just fine (approx. 8A, but can spike to 12.5A under heavy load, so I need leeway). Happy enough with it? Any quirks with it?

Very happy no troubles at all)))
