Hacking Boot9Strap wont let me play online now? Whats the cause and can I fix it?

So,to make it short,last night from what I can remember I could play with my friends np.Then I had do update from AL9H to B9S since the whole luma using .firm instead of .bin now.Anyway after I gone to B9S everything changed,all my friends say on there friend list im online,but I go online with my friend list and every friend who is online isnt online anymore,and when I play smash with friends only,they cant join my game... I dont know the clear cause but I dont think its a ban since I wouldnt be online myself correct? Could it be I done something wrong while updating to B9S, or is it an update error what happened anything will be helpful.

Huh, i've had a similar issue like yours in the past, did you get an error code if you waited for a while? I haven't tried playing with friends because i didn't have friends at that time. (:()
Since you updated from A9LH to B9S i'm assuming you also updated to the latest Luma3DS with Rosalina.
I fixed this issue by:
Going to my Friend List app, open Rosalina menu, navigate to Process patches menu, and then click on Patch SM for the service checks, and then Patch FS for the archive checks, and then bam. I appear online on my friend list.

Idk whenever this would work with your 3DS but should things go wrong you can unpatch those anyways.
(Don't ask me what those patches do because i won't know either¯\_(ツ)_/¯, and google isn't helping :/)
