With recent updates of Citra, the Activity Log app boots now.
It's funny because each time I launch a game, the app doesn't save history (may be because the game needs to be launch through Home Menu).

Why not you try that out? I mean you got the Home Menu working before right?

To make it clear, the Home Menu doesn't boot properly (black screen), I can just hear the music, but it's very low.
Before, I could boot Home Menu a few seconds. I think some functions are missing or not implemented and since Citra update some functions, I'm not able to boot Home Menu again.
All I can do is waiting for this emulator to progress, cause I'm not developper. Otherwise, I just found method to decrypt applets, like game notes, friend list, etc...

In Internet Browser, the app detects I've no connection and returns to Home Menu and crashes. (see picture below)

If you mean the one for controller, then IMO it is the job of controller calibrator.
I mean, Cita doesn't support sensitivity. If you press "up", Citra uses 100% sensitivity, when some of games using 50-75% for more slow camera control or different movements.

This is the first time I didn't specifically mention the GUI for controller support. I've asked about this once a month for the last 6-months and now you forget what I'm talking about. Lol

Last time (couple months ago), you said you put it on hold. I was just looking for an update on it if there is any. This is the one feature I've been looking forward to more than any other.
Thanks again for all your work on Citra.

jroweboy has take over the work on it from wwylele , its re-based so its a easy merge for a start.

I fixed that manually. I dunno why I didn't catch it in my cheatsmodule branch. Just add 'class CheatDialog; class CheatSearch;' up at the top of the file with the others.

that one worked thanks, any change on the last and only fix ?

edit: removing it would work to complete build, but that could cause other issues.

Hey guys. Hadn't checked the state of Citra for quite a while and I'm really surprised by how far it has come. The gameplay is much more smooth, the compatibility list seems to be growing fast and there are much more options in the settings and even cool things like a dark theme, fps counter and controller support. It's impressive, I'm glad to see that 3ds emulation is already in this level.

Just wanted to ask you two things, since this place seems to be the best to discuss about Citra, for what I've found.

1) I've been mainly using Citra to play Pokémon Sun, and the smoothness is already good enough for my standards (specially with my kinda shitty laptop - nvidia 740m, i7 4500u, 4gb ram), I'm really happy about it; specially combining with speedhack. Inside buildings and almost always during battles I'm getting near 100% speed 30 fps, in open world probably 60/70% speed, it's okay for me.

However, there's something that I don't quite understand. The build that really gives me the best performance, that I'm currently using, is Citra Ultimate Edition SSE 4.1 04/FEB/2017. I tried many others, from the official ones (nightly and be) to some on the internet (Speed GL SS3, Hack GCC63, Edge Filter Edition), that are way newer, but in all of them the performance is just not as good. My question is: why is that? I read the last pages of this thread and I found someone saying that he also got the best results with that build, I believe. But what's the reason for that? Why is a build from February better - in terms of FPS - than the newer ones that I've found? And also, is there any other build that had that Ultimate Edition SSE 4.1 as the "foundation" and added features (like the dark theme or the fps counter)?

2) Do you think we will get online features in the near future? Like it was done, if I'm not mistaken, with Drastic for DS.

Thanks in advance!

Hello! I was wondering about if there's anything else I should upgrade in my laptop in order to play Miitopia at a reasonable speed on my laptop?
I recently got an 8gb ram replacement for more reasons than just emulation, but other than that I think the setup of my laptop was sadly basic.
My processor is intel celeron n2940 processor 1.83ghz, i don't know if that contributes. Any suggestions on what I should do? I don't want to keep moving to the laptop to do recordings.

For some reason, I thought citra was canceled. Just checked out the website. I'm glad it's still going! :nds::toot:
No reason at all to think something like this, the project is active and going, check the official site (https://citra-emu.org/) and the GitHub (https://github.com/citra-emu/citra) from time to time to keep up with the updates.

1)The build you've used is not official, optimised for some specific CPUs instructions. This kind of optimisation could make the compatibility of Citra go down (any build with optimisation for SSE 4 would not even open on a PC if the CPU doesn't have support for this). Also, I add that older builds are "emulating less stuff", so you can add this reason on the top of optimisations (if the emulator is doing less, of course it'll run better). My tip: stay away from any build not official, anyone can insert malicious code (translation: code that will f*ck your PC) to run when you open the emulator, and you'll never know because you can't see what is in the code.

2) Yes, but not like what you think and not soon. We've some work done on telemetry to get error reports (even entries to the compatibility list in the future), but even this is not complete yet. Check the official site (https://citra-emu.org/) from time to time, someone is posting news reports monthly, is a good way to keep up with the changes.

RAM doesn't affect the performance for Citra at all (can cut the loading of the game when opening it for a second, but not really worth upgrading). Your CPU clock is too slow, not even close to enough to get playable speed on any game (the most simple ones, I guess, but Miitopia...). CPU clock it the most important spec to run Citra
