Hacking Luma3DS - Noob-proof 3DS Custom Firmware

I have the same problem, the same ARM11 crash but with svcbreak instead of data abort. Previously used homemenuhax+Reinand on N3DS 9.2 Japan region. After moving to b9h and Luma 8.0, now I cannot run my undub Fire Emblem Fates (non JPN region with region free patch). I have checked and unchecked the game patch options and the problem still persists. My friend bought a new 3DS and installed b9h and Luma 8.0 and he cannot play CIA games outside his console region.

Is there any solution to this?

Edit:
Tried with ReiNand +b9h and my games are working again. However, the boot time is a bit slower than Luma 8.0.

There are several ppl having trouble with b9s 1.2 and hombrew + luma3ds > crashdump.

ex. FBI was running > exit > crashdump

For me as well, problems started with boot9strap 1.2

I recently injected FBI into H&S and each time I run it I don't crash on exit, hell can use my 3DS just fine after exiting but the moment I power it off it doesn't fully shutdown, gotta do the 10 second hold.

Its odd, even having run a game or something after I have to go through that process, if I never start the H&S FBI its no problems.

Had turning off problems with Luma3DS 8.0 stable with or without starting FBI.
Since using Luma3DS current nightlie, not properly turning off is @ random.

Most people wont use any luma 8.0 till we get 8.1+ because things are just a raffle. You can either be perfectly fine till the end and others may be having issues out of nowhere. At least with legacy im having 0 issues on everything. Also noticed that the ds online option on system settings is still broken on latest 8.0 nightly. Gets a insta crash now instead of crashing after exit

Not with the release version. You'll have to grab an hourly.

One question: Would it be possible to add a cheat codes function through the Rosalina menu or this would overload the memory of the 3DS. Since the Rosalina menu can be activated within the games, if this process is possible, it would be extremely useful.

The Gateway uses TXT files to load changes in game memory, if a code function could be added, they could follow the same Gateway standard using TXT file.

Still having issues trying to figure any of this out with the errors I've been getting on Luma 8.0 and B9S 1.2

I was able to install a Terry's Wonderland english patched CIA but when I boot the game I get this:

Also get a similar screen when trying to boot up my US cart of Majora's Mask. My New3DSXL is a Japanese console but it worked before and now it doesn't, made a gfycat so you can see it in action:

I had a similar problem, I tried to use the game Ever Oasis European version, it just worked the American version corresponding to the region of my console. I already had problems with some games from other regions, I just managed to run those games in American version.

I've not encountered any error save one with fbi on b9s 1.2. when I was installing ever oasis, the bottom screen turned black, so I could never tell if it was done. turning off the console, then back on, I tested the game. it seemed to run fine. this was through the health and safety tile btw. I've not encountered any crashes by running or doing anything go figure though. hmm...

Its probably because the CIA's ticket is corrupted. Or that you are on a too low firmware

It's 4 simple lines in /sysmodules/rosaline/include/draw.h for those interested, being COLOR_TITLE, COLOR_WHITE, COLOR_RED, and COLOR_BLACK. Takes RGB hex code. Example modification I did below. From what I can tell it shouldn't be too difficult for someone with actual knowledge in this to modify the code to read those values from an external file.

Oh, and COLOR_BLACK doesn't change the whole background, only the background of text.

I've tried deleting tickets and reinstalling CIAs, used different CIAs, have updated the firmware. All still the same crash error. Also doesn't really explain why my US cart of Majora's Mask gives the error as well seeing as it ran just fine on a lower version of Luma3DS and arm9 instead of 8.0 and b9s.
